BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU, or BJJ, IS THE MOST COMPLETE MARTIAL ART - you don't have to be the biggest or the strongest in order for it to be effective. BJJ is a sport that promotes physical fitness, builds character, discipline, and is a way of life. Started in 1914, BJJ is differentiated by its emphasis on groundwork when compared to other martial arts.
BJJ is a non-violent, complete and effective self-defense system based in leverage and balance. It is an excellent way to learn discipline and improve self-esteem, which gives kids the confidence they need to defend themselves against bullies or unwanted strangers. There is no kicking or punching involved.

Spent the last week training here and had an awesome time. Everyone at the gym is extremely friendly and positive. If you like to scrap hard, I highly recommend dropping into the Friday night no-gi class.

If you’re a beginner, the white and blue belt classes are incredible and very efficient in getting you to the next level (whatever that is for you). If you’re advanced, the upper belt class (both gi and no gi) is easily the best training in Austin and maybe even Texas. If you are a competitor in the Austin area there is absolutely no better training atmosphere full stop. Professor Tackett and Professor Steele are both world class competitors and everyone’s training and skills are elevated because of them. Training here is an absolute no-brainer for me.

Awesome place and wonderful people. I stopped in to visit from out of town, and the people there couldn’t have been more nice and friendly. The gym is full of strong technical practitioners at every size, and some incredible world class athletes train there as well! Had such a great experience and can’t to go back.

I researched a ton of gyms in the Austin area and this one, in my opinion, offers the best instruction and highest level of competition for both adults and kids, while also creating a humble and welcoming environment. Every coach here is exceptional and they are really good with kids. Both my kids train here and have grown in their self confidence and discipline as a result. I train here in the adult class and have met a lot of amazing people along the way. Honestly can't provide a high enough recommendation of this place. Great people, exceptional instruction, great community, and an environment

Best jiu-jitsu gym in Austin hands down! Professor Rodrigo has developed some of the best BJJ competitors in the world yet all of them are super humble and welcoming. So whether you are looking to try your first jiu-jitsu class or you are an active competitor, I would highly suggest checking out Brazilian Fight Factory!

This is a true Jiu-Jitsu school. The instructor has done a phenomenal job growing his students. They are monsters on the mats and top pressure is crazy. On top of that everyone was so humble and generous with their time. 100% recommended.

Dropped in for a class to check out the place yesterday and had a great experience. BFF has a great reputation, and after going for myself I can tell that the community is very close and supportive. It’s always a little awkward dropping into a gym as an outsider, but the team was very welcoming and made themselves available to walk me through class after taking almost all of 2020 off from Jiu Jitsu. I definitely plan on going to more classes here.

Professor Rodrigo has formed a great gym environment that makes everyone who walks in feel welcomed and part of the Brazilian Fight Factory family.
Although the gym environment is friendly, the competition level here is very high making you the best version of yourself! There’s several guys and girls who train under Professor Rodrigo (Team Checkmat), who are between ages 16-24 and rank top 10 in the world. 🙌🏼

Such a great gym to train BJJ. Both me and my daughter are taking classes. I really love the flexibility with the schedule, they have trainings in the morning, at noon, in the evenings. Everyone can find a good time to train. Rodrigo and all the coaches are super helpful and respectful. There are some great competitors and high level guys here so you guaranteed to learn quickly. There is also a lot of roll on the classes which is great. I really can't think of any problems with this place.

Love this gym! Rodrigo Cabral, a head coach, is a wonderful instructor with tons of knowledge. There are several world-level competitors which are open for questions and rollings. So, the classes are fruitful and intense... With that, the atmosphere is comfortable and friendly. More experienced guys are gladly mentoring beginners to make their introductory period smooth.
