Dr. Thomas graduated from high school in California, MO and did her undergraduate studies in pre-professional zoology at Northwest Missouri State University on an academic scholarship. She graduated Summa Cum Laude. She went on to University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry and graduated with her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2010, also Summa Cum Laude.

The process of removing damaged tooth structure and decay from a tooth and replacing it with a filling material. We use composite filling material which is a tooth colored resin (plastic) material placed in a tooth after we remove decay (cavity) from the tooth. This helps keep bacteria out of the tooth.
A: There are two major types: electric toothbrushes and manual toothbrushes. Electric toothbrushes work by doing a lot of the work for you and many models have features to time your brushing, tell you when you are pushing too hard, and have various settings. If you prefer a manual toothbrush then use one with soft bristles to avoid damage to your gum tissue.

I have been a patient with this practice for over 30 years and I stayed because I loved Dr. Elliott. Since Dr. Thomas took over, patient service has been atrocious. Appointments are regularly canceled and new ones can be 6 months down the road. I had to have a root canal which I partially blamed on not be able to get scheduled services.

Dr. Thomas and her entire staff are absolutely amazing. Professional staff, they genuinely care about you and their willingness to work around your schedule is much appreciated. Dr. Thomas is wonderful, she is the only Dentist who has went the extra mile to know and understand my fears. After many filling and several crowns and even a root canal, I have to say I'm very pleased with my care at Dr. Thomas's dental office. Highly recommended

I love Dr. Thomas and her staff. She is so nice and always informative about what is going on and what needs to be done. She is also very gentle and I can honestly say I have never experienced any discomfort with any procedure she has done. Her hygienist Haylee is great also. I have relocated to Kansas City but continue to drive to Columbia for dental care with Dr. Thomas. I highly recommend her and her staff!!!

Dr. Thomas is horribly rude and has the worst bedside manor I have ever experienced in my entire life! My family of 2 has spent well over $8,000 in her office (just in the past 2 years!) and I still had over $2,000 worth of “deep cleaning” scheduled for the next month, but I will not be Going back. I had a filling fall out and the pain was so bad it had radiated to the top and bottom of my mouth. I went in and she sent me away saying she didn’t know what was going on but go see a specialist. I was charged $67 for her to tell me that. The pain only got worse and 2 days later I had to go back

I did my teeth cleaning this morning. They do teeth cleaning very carefully and efficiently! The whole process was very comfortable, I really appreciated that. I have been to a few other places in Columbia, here is the best one. They care about what I need and give me the right and fast solution. I Can't wait to do my next teeth cleaning!
