Grandmaster Carter Hargrave Martial Arts
We teach you or your child how to avoid a fight and if that fails how to win the fight. We will get you fit and healthy, not try to kill you with a bootcamp workout where you get injured and can no longer train. You WILL be able to easily handle a serious bad guy that is larger and stronger than you in six months, I guarantee it!

Professor Carter Hargrave's Kempo Karate System is the basis for the United States Marines Training Program. You will be able to disarm people who attack you with sticks, poles, hammers, baseball bats, skateboards, knives, and yes guns. First, we are Tulsa's only school that does not bow down to pictures, idols, or foreign flags.
Services
There are no free gi's, no contracts, no specials, no free classes, and no introductory offers. Many people will stop reading after the last statement. Most think: "If it is not easy or free I don't want it." We do this for many reasons. Most importantly, We are not a McDojo. Commercialized martial arts are employed at the expense of true learning.
You may contact us to schedule private lessons with Grandmaster Hargrave. No previous martial art experience is required. You may train in Jeet Kune Do or Kempo Karate, or any variant of the seven black belt styles that Professor Hargrave has earned. The cost is $65 per hour. If you and a friend wish to schedule a private lesson the cost for both of you will be $80 per hour, so you get a discount off of the regular $130.
Here at Hargrave Martial Arts we take Bullying and Stalking very seriously. Learn more about our program. This comprehensive program will take you step by step through the process; from identifying the problem to multiple solutions, all with a positive outcome. Developed for kids as well as for adults as stalking and bullying knows no age, sex, or race.
The Karate taught here at Hargrave Martial Arts Tulsa Karate is known as Kempo or Kenpo. It is a self defense art that is made up of three different art to make it more effective against the bad guys. It has Karate for your punches strikes and kicks, Ju Jitsu for your takedowns, throws, and locks, as well as Kobu Jitsu for multiple weapons (Offense and defense).
The definition of Jeet Kune Do (JKD) is the way of the Intercepting Fist. The name is demonstrated in many of the techniques such as blocking by striking or stop hit. Lee took his primary training in the art and modified it to make it more effective in the real world. He eliminated many of the "traditional" elements and formalities to make the art more alive.

Martial Arts isn’t just a hobby, it’s a life changing experience. I joined Professor Hargrave’s classes before I left for college to learn how to protect myself as a young female. Now many years later I have accomplished moving up in belt rank, teaching class once or twice, assisting another student on her black belt test and I can say in confidence I have enough skills to protect me and my family. Professor teaches us practical moves to use in every day life situations. They are easy enough for kids to understand but the most efficient for our safety. His classes are smaller in size for

There is no other experience that beats learning from a true Grand Master of the Martial Arts, and Professor Hargrave is exactly that. He has more blackbelts than anyone can count, was awarded the rank of 10th degree for his development in the arts, and was enducted into the World Martial Arts Hall of Fame as instructor of the year on multiple accounts.
There is no other instructor in the the state of Oklahoma, let alone the city of Tulsa who is more qualified or capable of teaching you true self defense.
I have trained under Professor Hargrave for close to 10 years now, have achieved the rank

We appreciate the small class size. Professor Hargrave and Sensai are very knowledgeable and easy to understand. Our family really loves the Hargrave method. It is really solid. When you graduate to a higher belt it is because you earned it.

Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality, Value
Our son has studied with the Professor for 8+ years. It has been a tremendous experience. In addition to the wonderful & practical martial arts skill set he has developed, his confidence has grown. And, in helping the younger students, his sense of responsibility has grown. I cannot say enough good things about the program.

Professor Hargrave is not your ordinary teacher. He has years of experience, training and accolades. His methodology is sound and his techniques are pain inducing. I have taken both private and public classes with The Professor and not only do you learn about Martial Arts but about life. He is always cracking jokes but when the kicks start flying it is all business.

This place is a complete joke, owned and instructed by a man with an ego larger than his brain. While reasonably priced, I recommend staying away from here.

By far the best option for our son. He is learning self defense and gaining self esteem. He loves the Sensei and Professor.
