Dr. Paula Capurro Smith was born in Argentina, and moved to the U.S. at age twelve.
Township Animal Hospital, established in 1983, is a full service animal hospital serving Windsor, California and the surrounding communities. Our mission is to provide the highest quality of veterinary care for your dog or cat, in a caring and compassionate manner. While your pet stays with us you can rest assured he or she will be provided a safe, clean, comfortable environment at all times.

Dogwood Animal Rescue Project: We work very closely with the lovely staff and fosters at Dogwood Animal Rescue Project- a nonprofit rescue organization that ensures their animals' health before adopting them into loving new homes! Green Dog: Township Animal Hospital often provides healthcare services for the rescued dogs at Green Dog Rescue Project, so that they can be adopted into their new families!
In 2013, Township Animal Hospital was awarded Newcomer of the Year, and became the first Veterinary Hospital in Windsor to become a member of the Windsor Chamber of Commerce. During the famous "Summer Nights on the Green" Thursday Night Concerts at the Windsor Town Green, we have a booth set up to provide free water for all attending dogs during the hot summer.

This is fabulous vet facility, with professional and very caring staff. Dr Capurro is top notch always there to answer any questions and incredible with animals! My pets get exceptional care at Township and even when they are busy they do all the best to see you for any urgent matters. I’ve seen other vet places say sorry we cant help you. Not Township, always, always there for my pets!

I take all 4 of my dogs to Township and would highly recommend Dr. Capurro and her crew to anyone with furry family members.
I have tried so many vets in the Santa Rosa area over the years and not felt comfortable with any of them as a primary care provider for my boys.
From our first visit (for annual wellness exams and routine blood work) it has been clear that Dr. Capurro is in it for the animals- she takes her time and has the most gentle demeanor. She is thorough and thoughtful and genuine- I have the utmost trust and respect for her.

Very sweet staff. I brought my long-haired chihuahua here for a visit. It had been a while she saw a vet and I was very pleased with the skill and compassion of the vet. The vet answered a bunch of questions I had on the health of Rosie and general questions on how to take good care of a dog. Rosie was comfortable and got a great check up. We got a microchip, general check up, and a bath. She is a few pounds overweight so we are working on losing a few pounds. The vet said we could come in anytime no charge to weigh here when we feel like it. The place is clean and easy parking and reasonable priced
