This firm was founded in 1920 by Mr. N. B. Hampton as THE HAMPTON CO. It was a furniture store and funeral home at 2105 Proctor, in what was then a thriving downtown area. It was purchased by Paul B. Clayton and Thorlief Thompson in 1930 and became a very successful funeral home during the war years.
We will assist your family in planning a funeral and choosing the options that suit your families needs and your loved ones wishes. We are able to assist you in holding services in a wide variety of areas. From our chapel, to your church or at the cemetery we are able to prepare a meaningful service to honor your loved one.
Staff members of Clayton Thompson Funeral Directors are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors. A Native of Port Arthur and a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in 1979.
