I like to call in to-go orders to take back home with me in Sanford. The only dish I like to order is Hunan's fried tilapia which comes out crisp if you eat it immediately. It's not great if you have it later as a leftover. The other dishes are hit or miss, sometimes delicious, sometimes so-so. No consistency.
I like eating sushi for lunch, but was informed that their "sushi chef" does not like to make sushi for lunch, only at dinner. They should put their sushi hours in their website.
I also tried calling in a to-go order at 1:20 pm and was told that they were closing in

The food is pretty good here. It is standard fair for Chinese food. It's neither excellent or bad. It's just decent. The reason that I am rating this restaurant as a one star is because of how they operate. They serve sushi but they don't start it until after 5 or 6 or whenever they feel like it.

I was really craving sushi and sadly they dont serve any until 6 or after- ended up getting their pad thai which wasnt bad at all. I did enjoy it but wish more vegis/peanuts were added. As it was mostly noodles. They did however cook the tofu very well and it wasnt drenched in sauce. I just have had better pad thai elsewere but for a small town it did the job and filled me up. I did very much enjoy the spice added to it though- made the whole dish.

Beware, the sushi menu is 4 pages long, however we were not allowed to order any appetizers (except Edaname), no nigiri and no combos. This explained to you by the waitress AFTER you made your selections. We ordered tuna sashimi which was served laid flat on a plate with a drop of wasabi and no other garnishes. It was very unappealing. We then left to eat somewhere else.

We were hungry for Chinese. Tried this place for lunch. Standard Chinese menu. Server was friendly. Meal was absolutely horrible. The sweet n sour pork tasted like aged grease and the pork tidbits (almost microscopic) were solid enough that you couldn't chew them. The grease coated the roof of your mouth after first one. Egg drop soup was tasteless. I got very very sick and had stomach cramps through the night and into next morning. It was awful. My best suggestion would be to go elsewhere.

This restaurant is one of the worst I have experienced in quite some time. Immediately when walking in there is an odor and the general impression was dirty. (This is when we should have left) We did not get drinks until our meal came 30 minutes in and the food looked and tasted as if it had either been freezer burned or sat out all day... maybe both. The staff was unacceptable and very argumentative with customers. Not us necessarily, but openly argumentative with a neighboring table. We will not return and I would not recommend this to anyone. Hopefully changes are made soon.

Excellent service, the dining room was more like a diner than a restaurant, but the food more than made up for it. The sesame chicken. Was excellent. The sweet and sour was a little bland for my taste but good none the less. Vegetable egg rolls also were great and fresh. Highly recommend if looking for Chinese food in town.

Thank goodness the food is delicious because the customer service and management of this resturant is horrible. The waitress we had yesterday was so disrespectful and upset that their were customers in the resturant and acted as all the guest were inconvenient. They do not open till 5 so their was a wait of people at the door, but That is something they need to prepare for. They were very understaffed and also had poor management of who ordered what for a big party. The check out system is also very unorganized.

Halfway through dinner I saw several employees (cooks, dishwashers) come from the back without masks on. One woman was cleaning tables without a mask. Our waiter, John, was wearing a mask all night.
When we went to pay, same woman came to check us out. I asked her to put on a mask and she got very hostile and snippy with me and walked away. She said then I guess I won't check you out. Second woman comes out of the back to take our check and I had to tell her to put her mask on as it was down around her chin. After trying to argue with me that it was on and I pointed out not when she came

I ordered my delivery at least 2 hours (or more) in advance, and they said "we will deliver as close to 830pm as possible" because they didn't know how busy they were going to get. I get it, its student move-in season and a Saturday night. They knocked on my door at 823pm and everything is perfect. Thank you Hunan!

My husband and I usually come here for the buffet. I would usually rate their buffet at 2 stars. This time we were there at the beginning of the buffet time, and they were still getting the buffet ready. I think it was probably around 11:30ish they finally had it ready. You would think at the beginning of the buffet time it would be hot and fresh. Nope, only warmish. Our waitress/server person had the attitude of a sunny day (I'm being totally facetious.). The restaurant was cold, which just matched the experience. Maybe ordering off the menu would be better, but probably not. Be prepared

Hunan undoubtedly has good food, but it doesn't stand up to the poor service. On multiple occasions, I have watched the staff worry about only themselves and not the entire team. If they would just help each other, it would create less work overall and a better environment for the guests.
