The Connecticut Professional Photographers Association is the premiere professional photography association in the state of Connecticut. We are a professional trade association and a PPA (Professional Photographers of America) affiliate. Services
Founded in 1947, the Connecticut Professional Photographers' Association (CTPPA) is composed of hundreds of professional photographers whose common goal is the ethical advancement of photography. The CTPPA is an affiliate of the Professional Photographers of America.
Members of the CTPPA include professionals with diverse photographic talents and interests; including, but not limited to; portrait, commercial, wedding, medical, legal and school photography.The majority of the members are studio owners and their assistants. All members have a common goal: to provide quality images that fulfill the client's desires in an ethical, professional and artistic manner.

All steps are necessary in order to process your application. Acceptance of your application is done by a majority vote of the Board of Directors and notification to the current membership. The board meets on the first Monday of the month, except for the months of June, August and December. Alternately, you can download a paper version of the application form and submit it to the VP of Membership instead of online.
Three words that categorize the select group of men and women who have earned the title of Professional Photographers of America (PPA) Certified Professional Photographer. Competence is established through successful completion of a series of tests, a continuing education program and periodic critical evaluations to establish a consistent quality of work.
Fellowship Medals will be given out to those who reach milestones in the Fellowship Degree program. They are made of metal, are approx. 2 in width and will include a ribbon for wearing. The Connecticut Fellowship Degree Program was inspired in 1987 by then President Ray Scory. The first awards were presented in 1988.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is changing the world of photography, and savvy photographers will embrace this evolution of how we make and manage our images. We saw a big shift when the internet changed photography distribution. We saw a big shift when high-quality digital cameras became affordable for the average photo enthusiast.
