I was born in New Jersey and moved to Florida at 10 years old. I have always had a love for animals and am studying at St. Petersburg College for a Veterinary Technician degree. I had hoped for a positive experience at a vet that was a private practice. I am sad to report I didn't have a good experience at all. Actually, it was the worst experience at a veterinary hosipital ever. They operating out of someone else office currently so be prepared to sit and wait in your car for a good hour or so before you are seen. When you are seen, the vet techs are very friendly and kind. I had asked for a receipt of my dogs records after my first visit. They gave me one that was totally illegible. They refused to reprint due to a printer issue, so I had asked for the record to

An absolutely wonderful vet!
We just started using them a few months ago for my 11 year old lab mix and they have been so sweet and so helpful both for an eye infection and a skin infection!
They are so quick to help on the phone to schedule your appointment, they always show you and walk over the bill with you before collecting payment and are very thorough explaining medications and issues.
They even always call or text me a few days after the visit to check in on my pup and make sure treatments are working. I haven't been this happy with a vet in years!

Very inefficient practice. They don't tell you they moved or are at a temporary location when you make the appointment. Old address still posted on google maps and website. You now have to prepay for your appointment. Then you get there and wait and wait. So they hold you hostage because you've already paid for the appointment. Then when you are seen it's like going to a used car salesman. They try to overcharge you for a bunch of stuff. They couldn't perform half of the exam Bc they said my dog wouldn't sit still. If I could do negative stars I would. I brought my puppy in for his initial visit straight from the breeder, and this place was an absolute freaking mess. To begin, the gave my dog a test I asked them not to do and then I still had to pay for it after I told them TWICE I didn't want it. They gave my dog the WRONG MEDICINE. I called and complained and asked to speak to a manager and Shirley whom I'm assuming is a receptionist told me I couldn't speak to a manager and over and over and over told me I was wrong. Dr Harris is GOD SENT! As a dog mom, I have trouble trusting vet's with what's best for my dog. A week ago I had to schedule an appointment with a sister vet on curry ford due to no appointments here. The vet was very unprofessional and asked ME what I wanted to do? (As if he did not go to vet school?) anyways. He ended up prescribing UTI pills for my dog who had bloody runny stool. It did nothing for my puppy and he continued to be the same. After finally being able to see Dr Harris she was super sweet (as always) and prescribed Chance the right medication and now my puppy is better

I just recently moved here from fort lauderdale and had a very trust worthy vet that I was going to for years and was a bit scared to transition, but this vet is absolutely amazing! Melody up front is awesome and hard working and the male vet is very intelligent and knows what he is talking about! They always make every visit memorable and fill our puppies tummy with treats by the end of our visit! Zeus loves everyone and gets soo much attention when he walks in! Thank you!!!

This place deserves one star and one star only. staff and front desk is always nice. the veterinarian, on the other hand, is absolutely horrible. He always makes everything sound worse than what it is just to get you to spend more money or buy something. He uses scary phrases such as "your dog can die" or "could potentially be life threatening" for every little thing. He tries to force you to spay your dogs and says it puts them at risk for "tumors that can be life-threatening" if you don't. so...he's pretty much like a google search...you have a headache

I called for an emergency appointment due to my dog being very sick with what I thought may be a UTI. We were seen very quickly but after spending HOURS waiting for urinalysis, were told it was a urinary infection and that they could tell her bladder was sensitive. We were given antibiotics after spending nearly $400.00.
Over night our dog became worse and we had to take her to East Orange Animal Hospital where they explained her symptoms were not associated with a UTI. After doing new bloodwork they felt an X-ray was needed. Thank God for she did NOT have a UTI but instead Megaesophagus! She

Receptionist was rude on phone & rude in office. Melody is the only nice one working. The other is NOT customer service oriented. Dr Kenner was great, tech Staphine was good. I hope I don't return when the rude one with dark hair is working. We have been going to Econ for 17 years & this staff member does not represent your office.

We've been taking our two labs here for quite awhile now and we love this vet. All of the staff and most of the doctors are fantastic and really care about their patients and their owners. Our dog Luma just recently had a mass growing under her front left leg and it was recommended that we have it removed because of its location to vital nerves and muscle tissue. Brittany is one of the staff who work there and she was phenomenal with Luma. Took care of her every step of the way and lived on her like Luma was her own dog. Wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. Had a horrible experience here and everyone I talk to has had horrible experiences as well. They also pay to remove your reviews off websites. Dont go here if you can avoid it. I've heard of multiple animals coming here and leaving in a body bag. Very sad for an anima hospital to treat humans and animals the way they do.

But, I just filed the following complaint with the BBB, which is public record. It is factual, and people here may form their own opinions about the matter. My experiences at the Econ River Animal Hospital have been wonderful this past year. The entire staff always goes above and beyond to make my pup and I feel comfortable during our visits. I don't normally write reviews but I felt I had a personal obligation to refute the negative comments given the overall satisfaction I have experienced with Dr. Mole and his staff. For example; the last time we went, we showed up 45 minutes late to our appointment but the staff still took us in despite it being after normal closing hours on a Friday night when we got there.

I took my older cat, 19, to get checked out because she was acting very weird, barely eating and drinking and was losing her balance. (We went a month ago because she had a pinched nerve so she was on antibiotics and thyroid meds from the blood work.) So we saw the doctor and he suggested a treatment plan which included renal meds, high blood pressure, IV for me to give her at home, thyroid canned food, etc. He wanted to do another blood work exam on her. So he sends us home with more medication before even getting the results from the blood work. The bill was almost $600.

I should start out by saying that my parents and I took all of our pets to Econ River Animal Hospital for over twelve years. As of a few days ago, they have completely lost our business.
After one of your receptionists called and berated my mother for accidentally leaving her credit card, then hung up on her on two separate occasions, I am disappointed that you would employ such a horrible person. My mother didn't catch her name but the receptionist was British, I think.
