Your office and staff DO NOT deserve a speck of a 1 star rating, and that is saying a lot. My experience with the staff is a joke, the "MANAGER" Andrea, is even a disgrace to this office. We received a statement for the first time with no description, no date of service, no description of service, and no indication that our insurance was ever billed. Yet, your statement indicated a "BALANCE FORWARD", your account is past due! Because of their most recent administrative change they reassigned their patients to different offices located across San Diego. This means I have to drive 45 miles to the new location. In addition is seems as though they lost my files for my insurance because now I am getting calls from them that I need to put them under my insurance again or I will get a bill. At this point I'm just gonna switch dentists. Also beware of what the extra charges the dentists try to push on you that you don't need. So, now do to remodeling they relocate you to a different location(WITHOUT TELLING YOU!!). Even though they said they sent emails out which I never received. I've have NEVER received an email from them. Now, when you ask about switching to a different provider they tell you that other ortho offices won't take you unless your from out of state. After waiting 1+ hour at our last appointment without being courteously advised of the wait I can't wait to find someone to switch my kids to. DO NOT GO HERE. The work does NOT last. All 4 of my fillings fell off in 1 year. Prior fillings they took off lasted 20 years!!. Now they are saying Tough Luck. They DO NOT CARE. Horrible Experience. Caught a horrible infection! Doctor at Kaiser said it was due to Dentis negligence and could have been 100% avoidable to the average dentist coming out of school. What else do you need to know about this place?? AVOID AVOID AVOID. Your teeth will end up being worst. And they charged extra for unnecessary work. AVOID AVOID AVOID. DISHONEST. I was a patient for the Orthodontists before Sonrisa took over the previous Dental Care. After Sonrisa took over there have been numerous accounts of lack of good customer service. The receptionists made mistakes to my sister and I's appointments, they made us wait more than when they said they were going to be done (said they would be done at 3, my parents and sister waited until an hour later), and overall lack of communication between the workers concerning the patients. Scheduling lately has also been horrendous. Multiple accounts of "You weren't scheduled today" when we called on rescheduling

I want to rate this place a Zero but I cant. I want to give a negative feedback but I cant. Its simply not worth the energy or would NOT describe how I feel about this place. Before I came here, my fillings lasted over 30 years. I come here and they make all these recommendations.. replace all fillings and pull this and that tooth out. Now that I think of it.. I was just a naive customer that was profit in their minds. I think 90% of the work was NOT needed. And even if they were.. the Fix up did NOT last a year! I could not make an appt due to Covid so 1.5 years later.. NO WARRANTY or pride in

I have been their patient since 2012 I believe and the office have gone through at least 2 admin changes (from Smile Care to now Sonrisa) and at least 3 general dentist (starting with Dr. Garrate to now Dr. Gonzales) and 3 dental hygienist for my dental care. Prior to moving to a different dental office, services were great- front staff desk were nice and courteous. Everytime I need to get a procedure done they always give me an estimate of how much it would cost me with and without insurance which is typical for most dental offices, plus they accepted both my dental insurances (MetLife and Anthem

My visit to Sonrisa Dental was as usual GREAT! I was treated for a cleaning. Mrs. Marlene did her usual FANTASTIC JOB!!! SHE IS THE VERY BEST! She always treats me, as if I am the only patient she has!! Kind and considerate! Making sure, that my cleaning is done properly and showing concern for my dental health. Excellent service! The whole team were super friendly. My dentist, Dr. Gonzalez and hygienist, Marlene, who are very passionate, patient, professional and friendly. They made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. I didn't feel scary like I did in other dental clinics. I would definitely recommend them to my family and friends!

Dr. Richards saved me from (more) sleepless nights in pain, beyond thankful!
I've also seen Dr. Gonzales, and felt at ease with his jovial manner and care. With both doctors I was smiling, although they probably couldn't tell circumstantially (hehe;)
Dental assistants Maria, Julio, and Alex are very personable, and lovely to engage with.
Lisa, Leticia, and Lauren all greet me warmly with a smile upon entering and exiting the office, which is so nice.
