Going to a dentist can definitely be grueling. Dr. Halabo and his staff always go out of their way to make sure every one of my experiences is comfortable and complete. Saw Dr. Halabo yesterday for two fillings and a cleaning. Was seated in a room right away. Clean, pleasant environment and the televisions in the treatment rooms were a plus. Watching Counting Cars and American Pickers made the time fly by. Hygienist was thorough and I didn't wait long at all between my cleaning and fillings from Dr. Halabo. Front desk staff was polite, overall excellent experience. Would definitely recommend.

Dr. Halabo saved me over this past weekend! I have had a crown on one of my front canines for almost 10 years now. Well on Saturday, while I was out with some friends, I bit into a cracker and suddenly felt something very hard. What did I pull out of my mouth? HALF OF MY CROWN! I immediately took a look in a mirror and my entire crown had come out. Picture a little kid who just lost one of his front teeth, minus the excitement. I found a great dentist here in Chula Vista, Dr. Halabo straightened my teeth in less than 6 months using clear brackets and wires. I am so happy with my new smile no more big gap in the front. Consumer beware! I got ripped off. I was billed the same amount as my insurance company (approximately $4,000.00 after three visits). I was awakened this morning at 4:00am with dental pain from a crown procedure done six months ago. The staff at this office tries to seduce you with smooth talk, pretending they care. All they want is your money. Don't be fooled by the doctor. He is aware of how his receptionist has been schooled.

(PLEASE READ UPDATE AT THE BOTTOM) Although Dr. Halabo himself is nice, I have huge issues with the admin staff at this office. My husband and I both have excellent insurance and they recommended all sorts of extra work saying it would be covered by my insurance. I agreed to go along after confirming that it would not cost us ANYTHING out of pocket, which they verbally confirmed to me before starting work. I agreed to authorize replacing my old silver fillings, etc and, after a couple of uncomfortable visits, thought it was all over.

I decided to try in office whitening after viewing recent family photos. Several of my friends said the Zoom treatment made their teeth very sensitive. Dr. Halabo recommended I try a newer whitening system called Pola. Since it was the same price as Zoom I tried the Pola and my teeth are surely whiter. Dr. Halabo took extra time to protect sensitive areas and finished with a special fluoride treatment. I had only the slightest sensitivity that lasted less than one day. The level of whitening is dramatic and I am quite pleased with the results

I'm curious what this 'horrible' experience was that JR feels the need to publicly deface such a caring and ethical doctor as Dr. Halabo. I've had a lot of dentists and Dr. Halabo and his staff have always been upfront, honest, caring, and use current technology to provide services of the highest quality! I love Dr halabo's office. he had taken out my upper wisdom teeth and it was a snap especially compared to when my previous dentist took out my lower ones ( i wound up with an infection and pain was horrible). His office staff was great and he is the only Dr. to ever call me the evening after my extractions to check on how I was doing. I also love Shannon the hygienist. And i have recommended other family and friends to go there and they have had great experiences.

Instead of actually apologizing for what happened, Dr. Halabo expressed through a personal message to me 8 months ago of how upset he was of my review. F.Y.I - My house and cell number has always been the same since I left his office!!! I never received any messages! Okay, after 8 months he finally decides to respond back publicly that he tried to reach me?!?! Unbelievable!!! What's the point?! What's done is done. Its been years since I went back and everyone I've crossed paths with is aware of this experience!!! Really, instead of me wanting to go
