I've been seeing Laura for a couple of years now. A gifted therapist is able to help a person see and understand things about themselves that they either can't or don't want to see (or both!). I've learned many important things about myself and in the process hope that I've become easier for others to live with. I'm definitely feeling like I'm making important realizations! I highly recommend Laura!!!

Many therapists are understanding, caring individuals, but it is frustrating when they are not as well-educated as you are on your personal needs. Laura is warm and personable, but she is also clearly highly intelligent and an expert in her field. She puts in the time to do additional research on issues you have outside of your time with her.

I just moved to Harrisonburg last year and have been trying to find a new counselor. I had been to see a couple over the past 6 months and hadn't met one that really seemed to understand my trauma. Dr. Copley offered me a free consultation and I could tell immediately that she really wanted to help. I have seen her ever since and she has been extremely helpful and has gone out of her way for me.

Laura has helped me more than any therapist or counselor I have had in the past. She is kind, professional, and truly cares about her clients. She is very responsive to emails and by phone and goes out of her way to find appointment times that will work for your schedule. The only way to respond is through email. You can never speak to anyone by phone. The response by email is very slow to poor. I was given the option of 2 appointments and I responded I wanted the June 1st at 5:00. I never got a response so I assumed I had that appointment, only to get there and the place is locked up even though the web site said they were open till 6:00. Very poorly run business!
