The LAB produces the highest quality large format prints on genuine photographic paper. We print exclusively on Fuji archival, light sensitive paper, these are not inkjet prints. Our Chromira printer uses an LED array to expose the paper, and then the paper is run through chemistry to develop the image.
This results in a super fine archival image of the highest quality. The LAB handles all types of flat copy work, producing flatbed scans and digital files shot in our studio by a professional photographer. We are able to copy artwork as well as photographs, matching the originals for color and density or make any changes / restoration needed.

Services
Chromira prints are the finest output available from digital files. We print these using our ZBE Chromira 30 LED printer onto Fuji Crystal Archive Paper, which is processed in RA-4 chemicals. This is true photographic paper, not inkjet or some other process that uses dots to simulate "photo quality".
We restore old photographs damaged by time. We will provide an estimate for all work before it is started. We retouch images and are able to remove or replace people in images. The cost is determined by the extent of the work required, the size of the original and the size of the final print. Be as creative as you like, if you can imagine it, we will use our extensive skills to realize your vision.

With the added bonus of also having a full-service custom photo lab as part of our business, we have complete quality control from start to finish, from taking the photos to retouching the images and producing prints.

I recently had some old slides made into prints and could not have been happier with the service and prints I received from The Lab. Drop off was easy, my prints were ready within 5 days, the women I spoke to, who wrote up my order and who handed me the finished prints were both helpful and informative. I got exactly what I asked for and will not hesitate to use this business for any future photographic needs-they were exceptional. Please patronize small, local businesses who are great at what they do-we need them!

Very disappointing. My prints weren’t much better than CVS but, of course, a lot more expensive. A couple of my prints were a total wash out even though I paid an extra $10 to correct one of them. “Fixing” prints seems to be based on lightening the whole photo instead of just the areas that need enhancement. I was promised an email when my re-print was ready but so far I heard nothing. I shan’t go back.
I am also sorry to say that the response from the owner is completely untrue. Best leave it there.

This is the BEST photo processing facility in the north bay. They use a Chromira printer and you will not see better colors, depth or clarity anywhere else. The owner sends you a proof to review before printing the hard copy. They can produce prints up to 30 inches. This service is not as cheap as labs like Cosco, but the difference in quality is that of having photos you would be proud to display in exhibits, to clients, look at daily in your own home as compared to hobby quality prints. I would always rather wait until I have the funds to get work finished through the LAB for superior quality

Just had 30 prints made from negatives that were about 70 years old. They turned out perfect! I am so thrilled to have found this place, possibly the last place in the universe that prints from negatives. The service was fast and friendly and reasonably priced. Thank you so much!! We are thrilled to finally see what these negatives look like as pictures. There is a lot of important old family history revealed there and this is the only way we could have accessed it. We are grateful.

I have been using The Lab for over five years for all of my printing. I photograph people and landscapes and use a medium format Phase One digital back on a Mamiya 645 camera. Quite a few of my images are stitched together to give sizes up to five and a half feet. At this size any problems with printing would be obvious.
Jennifer at The Lab is the finest printer I have ever seen. She is an expert on Photoshop and often corrects issues that I have not seen or that I am not skilled enough to fix. I trust her work and have about 30 of her prints in my home and am totally satisfied with the quality

We've gotten huge prints made on several occasions at The Lab for our clients. They always look stunning and they make us look so good in return. I'm amazed at how well they can enlarge the prints and how nice they look. They even do the mounting themselves. Plus, I like supporting my local lab and getting personal, one-on-one service.
