The term Freehouse comes from an implied definition for a pub. In the UK, it is a type of bar that is not owned and controlled by a brewery, so the range of beers and other drinks that it can sell is not limited. The Littleton Freehouse honors this tradition by showcasing our beer offerings from local nano and micro-breweries around New England.

My Dad and I dropped in for dinner after an icy January hike up Mt Jackson. Hoped for substantial food and got so much more! Great atmosphere- pleasant and fun without being loud and overbearing- and a solid menu. Good tap selection, good scotch, good food and desserts. Everything hits the spot! A word for our server (Jacquie, I think?). Taking orders by memory is typically a sign of a professional, but doing so on a busy night while providing great recommendations (including on the rotating beers!) and rolling with all sorts of changes is the mark of excellence. Thanks so much for a great evening

Tried out the place for late lunch on a Sunday. Sat at a booth, pretty large menu my server had to help me choose. I got the NE Clam Cowder and my server recommended the stuffed shrimp on the specials menu.
Nice relaxed ambience, football was casted on all the screens while I waited for my food. Took about 15-20 minutes for my food to be served.
Clam chowder came out fairly quickly, good flavor great consistency but a lot of cut potatoes vs. clams. Shrimp came out a little while later and it was VERY tasty would order again. The stuffing was mostly crab and some cracker meal to hold it together

Everything was perfect from the huge draft beer selection to the excellent food. Had the meat loaf and salmon; both were unique and flavorful. Chess curds were beyond expectations. First class service. And the most important it was OPEN on a Wednesday at 3pm unlike most of the restaurants in Littleton due to Covid staffing issues...

The proportions were alright, they could have been a bit bigger for the price. The food was very flavorful and tasty. Also we did have to wait for quite a while for our food, but it was busy so I recommend calling ahead to make a reservations. We got a chicken and salmon dish and it said, “mixed vegetables” on the menu, and it was a bit odd to see just some lettuce thrown on the plate as the “mixed vegetables”... not what we were expecting at all. But the chicken and salmon both tasted good. The burger was a burger, and tasted good, so were the fries. And there was something called a crusader
