Steve is the best. We had our roof replaced 5 years ago with a permanent spray-on foam roof, which has a lifetime warranty.
Well with all the rain recently our skylight started to leak very slowest. I called Williams Roofing, and within a few hours Steve gave me a call, came over at the time he said he would, walked my entire roof (not just the skylight), said the skylight has a small crack, and even sealed it up for free.
I know the skylight is not a part of the lifetime roof warranty, and they didn’t install it either, it’s like 20+ years old, but the fact that he offered to seal it up

Based on the recommendation of a friend, I called Williams roofing and spoke to a person by the name of Steve. We spoke briefly and scheduled a time to meet at the property the following day. He arrived on-time and give me a quote after looking at the roof and gutters. I found him extremely professional and his quote was more reasonable than other contractors. So, I decided to hire him.
Based on our agreement, he and his helper showed up on time and finished the job. I’m extremely satisfied with his work and professionalism. I highly recommend Williams roofing and Steve.

I am a retired Real Estate Broker doing real estate for 34-years. I have dealt with many contractors. With so many roofers to choose from, I do not recommend Williams Roofing at all. He is rude, inconsiderate, and lacks the virtue of empathy, which is critical when dealing with contractors. I had an appointment with an hour window and he is "no show, no call." What makes it more aggravating is I do not live in that house. When I saw him the next day, with an appointment that I initiated, he showed up but did not offer any apology from the previous day. Williams Roofing did a phenomenal job replacing my old wood shake with the new dimensional shingles. When I emailed them for the first time steve responded quickly and was able to do all the estimate. Three days later I got the estimate. I decided that since they are local and reasonable price, why not. One week later they came in the morning around 7am and left around 4pm. Three days later the roof is done, plus one week waiting for the city inspection. All done without having to meet other than phone calls and emails. Keep in mind that these all happened during COVID. His price was

After received several quotes from roof vendors in the bay area, we decided to go with William Roofing, based on price and schedule but mostly straight forward explanations from Steve. We couldn't be more please. Thanks Steve and his crew on an amazing job with our roof. The processes went very smoothly from the beginning to the end. Steve has informed us every step along the way what need to be done. The crew kept the yard clean from debris and dust by constantly clean up from each step. This roofing company that simply does not want your business and whoever is responding to their Yelp messages just doesn't get it.
Why do customers have a "request for quote" option? So..... we as customers can compare, ask questions, get details, get comfortable with a company your about to spend thousands of dollars with maybe???
Simply put, I requested for a quote and an Appt. for a quote/estimate. Their Yelp message person replied they're booked until April, but if we(the customer) was willing to wait and just get an estimate for now, we can arrange that.

The roof turned out fine. Just make sure that someone ELSE installs the gutters and any sun tunnels.
They decided, without asking, to remove a downspout in a critical area. They had the gutter contractor install a new one. Apparently, Williams decided to start doing his own gutters. They shouldn't be...unless they leave things well enough alone and don't change anything!

Williams Roofing repaired and painted our foam roof in El Cerrito over a three day weekend. We were delighted with the result and his price was about 1/2 of what other companies had bid. After messaging on yelp I got a phone call and a message 2 days later got a phone call with a estimate of tomorrow dropping by to see the roof; I've had 10 tomorrows and not one show, I even provided the address to the property because someone is always home and he could get the estimate anytime.....never heard from him again. You decide.
Received a call apologizing got the above I was on calendar for this weekend. He came to the house & gave an estimate & was very honest about what the results would be.

We just had a new roof installed by Steve Williams and his team. They were very professional, met commitments of start/end dates and were on budget. Steve gave us a very competitive quote and an estimated start date, which they actually exceeded by starting a few days earlier. He also worked very well with a General contractor we had hire to replace a few sky lights in the process. Finished in less than a week and followed up very promptly on a few open areas.
I would highly recommend Steve.

Steve williams is one of the most honest roofers around today. I know firsthand I used to work for him I've installed quite a few roofs with Steve and I would have to say that he is the best roofer that I know when it comes to composite shingle Roofing.
