Services
Metro Home Health Care offers a coordinated plan of care and services, under the supervision of the physician, to patients who might otherwise require continued hospitalization or other institutional care. The availability of services provided by our team of specially trained health care professionals makes it possible for patients to continue their recuperation at home.
Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse provides support and education to patients and families through skilled physical assessments, medication and disease management within a physician-authorized plan of care. Other services include catheter care, injections, wound care, ostomy care, infusion therapy, and diabetes education and management.
After a stroke or accident, speech therapy can help you recover your swallowing and communication skills. Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializes in the evaluation and treatment of swallowing, cognitive/thinking skills and communication disorders to help you regain independence and improve your quality of life.
Many health care treatments that were once offered only in a hospital or a doctor's office can now be done in your home. Home health care is usually less expensive, more convenient, and just as effective as care you get in a hospital or skilled nursing facility. In general, the goal of home health care is to provide treatment for an illness or injury.
