I've worked in management and sales for over 15 years. I have found a great group of people here at DSS and found a new passion for rocks in my life!
First of all, thank you for your interest in Decorative Stone Solutions (DSS)! I am the founder and president of this organization, a third-generation landscaping stone veteran, happy husband, and proud father of two. The journey started as free summer labor at dad's retail stone yard, I would get to do all the grunt work around the yard.
Think of us as the world's largest quarry! Decorative Stone Solutions combines years of industry experience with a product offering that is second to none, to create a single source stone supplier to the landscape professional. Our specialties include but are not limited to decorative; decomposed granites, crushed rock, round rock, cobbles, rubble, and boulders.
Decomposed Granite or D.G.: A granular stone surfacing material usually consisting of particle sizes ranging from 3/8 down to rock dust. This mixture of sizes allows for the correct blend of large particles "strength", medium sizes "space filler", and fines "binders", ideally suited for stable surface once wet and compacted and work great for low traffic walkways, driveways, garden trails, or xeriscape ground cover.
