We offer a wide range of services to help care for your pets. Our clinic is equipped to handle everything from regular health checkups to emergency services including surgery. We use all state of the art equipment and the newest technological advances to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
Mother-in-law also takes her animals there! Sadly one of our dogs passed away there, she was 13 ish, Woofie, it was handled so well, I would like to recognize Dr. Theyerl for her care and kindness. Our new dog Wilma has seen Dr Theyerl since we got her, she was a pound puppy and loves Dr Theyerl very much!
Your pet will be admitted between 7:30-8:00 on the morning of surgery and receive a premedication injection, which includes pain relief, and begin IV fluids. After surgery, once your pet is awake, we will call with a time that he/she will be ready to go home. Most surgeries patients are ready to be picked up between 3:30 - 5:00 p.m.
All our after hour emergency care is referred to the Animal Emergency Clinic of Rockford. We hope your pets remain healthy, safe and never need our emergency care! However, when the unexpected happens, Animal Emergency Clinic of Rockford is fully staffed, stocked and ready to care for your pet's emergent and critical care needs.

My family has been going to Brookside for at least twenty years now. My grandmother took her pets there, as did my mother, and as do I. I've highly recommended them to anyone who's asked me where they should take their pets as they've always been good to us. They're always open and willing to work with you, caring, professional, and I wouldn't take my furkids anywhere else.
Even when it came to the end of one of our loved ones journey's, they were there to help ease the transition, offering crematory services with the option of getting pawprints in clay back as well as ashes.

Friendly, affordable, and always willing to help! When it comes to my Winnie girl, I am very cautious about who I take her to, as I have been left with a bad taste in my mouth before. Thankfully that is a thing of the past!! Everything they do is with care and respect. The entire staff has every fur baby’s best interest in mind and it shows!

Have a 3 year old dog Sampson who just needs his yearly shots and a nail clipping. We just moved here from Maryland a few months ago. and don't have a vet. Called here because of the great reviews. However,after answering a bunch of questions and explaining why I wanted to be seen, she said they aren't taking new patients because they are behind 🤨
