Seal Engineering, Inc.'s professional staff consists of civil and structural engineers. Professional engineers are registered to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia, Maryland, the District of Columbia, and West Virginia. All staff engineers are trained, experienced and licensed to operate laboratory and nondestructive materials testing equipment.
Seal Engineering, Inc. provides a variety of investigative services to help building owners understand the overall condition of the building enclosure systems, to identify the sources of any ongoing moisture intrusion, and to aid in development of building enclosure repair and replacement recommendations.
The primary focus of our design services is on the maintenance, repair, and renovation of the building enclosure systems on existing buildings. We collect, review, and analyze original construction drawings, past renovation documents, past reports and oral histories to develop a background and understanding of the construction and issues to be addressed by the project.
Seal Engineering, Inc. provides extensive design review and design assistance to architects, building owners and contractors. Development of recommendations for suitable roofing, waterproofing and faade flashing systems based on preliminary building design. Consultation on roofing system slopes and insulation configurations, and the impacts on roof perimeters, rising walls and roof penetrations.
Seal Engineering, Inc. offers a wide array of construction-phase services to help ensure the Owner receives the finished product required by the design. Additionally, we offer these services on projects where we have not provided the investigation, report or design, as our knowledge of building envelope systems allows us to provide our clients with stellar contract compliance and inspection services.
