Dr. Mai X. Ly is a graduate of the University Of Southern California, Los Angeles. She furthered her education at Columbia University, New York in the Advanced Education General Dentistry (AEGD) residency. During her residency, Dr. Mai enjoyed exploring the city and the wonderful food, as well as enhancing her training in implantology and cosmetics.

They have a new dentist in the house and her names Dr. Lee! She put three fillings in and made it such a comfortable, relaxed experience that I ended up taking a nap towards the end and woke up with a blanket on me to keep me warm 😂 these are some of the main reasons why I keep making the trip from San Diego up to Ladera. Dr Mai’s team has never once let me down and I’m super grateful to have a new, awesome face to add to the group. Thank you guys!

Was excited to support woman owned business in my community. First visit for 3 of us here. One didn't get teeth cleaned at appointment because they proposed an elaborate plan and charges for cleaning work; another had 13 cavities proposed work, and all a $188 charge billed to insurance for castings (?). My father in law is a dentist out of state. He looked at the X-rays and found 1 area that needed attention and 1-2 watch for and no indication on the remaining teeth they quoted. Was there for nearly 2 hours each - they push braces and treatments and mineral toothpastes and crazy price

The location is far from where I live, but worth the drive to me because all the staff are very friendly and they maintain professionalism. Their office is extremely clean and they are on top of sanitizing equipment and spaces. I came in to do a consultation for Invisalign and Dr Mai Ly was very informative. After I finished my consultation I was very pleased with my experience so I decided to schedule an appointment to get my cleaning done as well.

I've reviewed this place once before but I wanted to do it again because of the great service I get everytime I come. The staff is so friendly and helpful and even though I dread going to the dentist they make it that much better. This time I went to get an old filling taken out and replace which would include the feared and painful drilling. I may have mentioned this in my last review that I've had quite a number of cavities so I am no stranger to the process and how painful it can be. This time I went into to see Dr. Nguyen and he was so incredibly amazing I had to write this review

This is a highly competent dentist. She is capable of doing multiple tasks with ease. She is correct in her assessment I needed deep cleaning. The problems with my teeth were due to poor flossing. This left food between the teeth confusing the x-rays. She appears to be very involved with her patients. The costs were in line with other dentists.

Everyone is vey safe, professional and smiling each time we are there. I recently had some tooth sensitivity which made me worry. Dr. Mai and team took all the necessary steps to investigate what was going on. Thankfully, I just needed to have a crown adjusted which was the cause of sensitivity and pain when chewing. In terms of quality of their work, I don't really have any complaints. I have always had bad teeth and they patched up many a cavity for me. Their care was simply okay--nothing wrong with it, but not really anything special. My complaint comes from pricing and the staff's attitude toward the pricing.

My First dentist visit after avoiding it for 6 years. The staff and Doctors there were extremely kind, empathetic, and didnt push any treatment I didn’t want to do. They present treatment in a manageable way. Extremely gentle and no pain although I needed a lot of work done. The office is filled with cutting edge technology. I highly recommend the practice.

I was new to the area and became Dr. Mai’s patient last year. Mr. Mai is the best general practitioner comparing all my past dentists. My teeth are very bad since childhood. I am 68 and had been living at a lot of different cities. Imagining how many dentists I had experienced!

Beware!!! They are running quite the scam here. This was the most unprofessional dentist office I have ever been to in South OC. My periodontist and hygienist where I usually go are great and they have me on a routine to get a cleaning every 3 months, however they don't take my dental insurance, so I made an appointment HERE only for a cleaning, strictly because they do take my insurance. I scheduled my appointment a whole month in advance, explained to them how I just need a basic cleaning, and confirmed with their office it would be covered by my insurance. It's very frustrating having to hear this as she needs her crown fixed. She is not a dentist and depends on the expertise of this dentistry, which is apparently lacking personable skills towards their customers. Will not be back here ever again. Maybe reading this review will have them rethink how they treat their customers.

Fell asleep for a little! First time I've ever been to a dentist that knew to use this rubber device during the procedure that made my mouth comfortable. Usually my past experiences leave my mouth sore and in pain.
Dr. Ly was comforting throughout the process. Making sure to assess my pain threshold. I believe this is also why the recovery was so easy.
Lastly, the staff seems so happy and like what they are doing. They all seem so friendly and provide a family atmosphere.

Came to Dr Mai over 6 months ago for a check up and cleaning. It was my first visit there and was very impressed how clean and nice the staff are. I'll be back soon for my 6 month cleaning.
