In North Carolina, when parties separate and divorce, one party may owe spousal support to the other. In order to have a claim for alimony, the party asking for support must prove that they are the dependent spouse and the other spouse is the supporting spouse. This means that they are actually and substantially dependent on the other spouse in order to maintain the standard of living enjoyed during the marriage.
North Carolina statutes establish the basis for who can file for custody of a minor child as "(a)ny parent, relative, or other person, agency, organization or institution claiming the right to custody of a minor child." This means that people other than biological parents can ask the courts for custody of a minor child.
When spouses split, there is often ill will between families, extending beyond the immediate parties. Divorces frequently involve disputes over money, assets, debts, and custody of the children, which can become heated and cause family members to take sides with their respective family member.

As far as I can tell is if they hired Kayleigh Messersmith, and they are letting her take my nephew over the coals with their consent knowing that she is an adulteress as well as a deceiver of character and of faith. Breaking my nephew’s heart and keeping the wedding band that neither one paid for, but my parents did and still are, is so deceitful and allowing her to represent your name and company is a disgrace. I hope you will look in to the situation and do the right thing by your name and standards. If not then I guess the freedom of speech will continue on your action. Thank you for taking

The people at Emblem Legal are great, I used Stephen Corby as my attorney and was really satisfied. I was referred to Stephen by an attorney who used to practice family law, that attorney is a big fan of Stephen's and referred to him as a legal ninja.
Stephen handled the tough, tense situations with grace and probably kept me from making some crucial mistakes. The only thing that I can think that would have went better was the equitable distribution, but I'm sure everyone feels that way. Stephen is affordable, and give you a lot of courtroom experience.

I had Mr. Stephen Corby and his law firm help me with an issue that I had with one of our boarders at our farm. He had me come in to meet with him and explain my situation better, I felt extremely comfortable with his staff and with him so I hired them. Mr. Corby and his staff helped resolve my problem with no further assistance needed. He was available for questions, and if he was not available at the moment, his employees would help me. Attorney Stephen Corby is THE BEST attorney in Charlotte, NC. He helped our family thru a terrible house fire event when there seemed to be nobody else out there in the state was even competent enough to handle a rather complicated case. He and his team member (Attorney J. Lee) were very helpful to us! Kept us thru the entire process so we did not have to worry so much about where the case was up to! He knew every date and intricacy of the history of my case and when the opposing attorney tried to use confusion as a defense he calmly one by one rebutted every point he made. His closing argument was a beautiful thing. My heart soared
