In 1969, a hail storm for the ages hit Amarillo, Texas, wiping out the town's roofs and wheat harvests. As devastating as it was, the hail storm served as an opportunity for the Wilson brothers to learn about roofing. After his older brother, Doyle, had served on a roofing crew and asked his parents to let him roof the family home, Ralph Wilson got his first experience with roofing as a member of his brother's crew.
Ralph continued to work with Doyle and his other younger brother, Clark, as all three brothers ended up in the roofing business in Austin. In 1976, Doyle wanted to focus more on home building, so Ralph bought Wilson Roofing Company from his older brother to keep the business in the Wilson family name.

Services
Wilson Roofing's outstanding reputation was built by giving our customers excellent workmanship at affordable prices in Austin, Round Rock, Georgetown, and throughout Central Texas since 1976. For roof leaks, hail damage, wind damage, or if your old roof needs to be replaced, Wilson Roofing has the experience and expertise to repair your shingle, tile, flat, or metal roof to protect you and your family from the elements.
Our Roofing Advisors will go up on your roof and complete a thorough inspection, including taking photos. Climbing on roofs can be a dangerous prospect, so leave it up to experienced professionals to assess, photograph, and determine what your roof may need. If you feel your roof may be at the end of its serviceable life or are experiencing leaks, call us for a Roof Inspection at 512-263-3157.
Our New Construction roofing department specializes in custom and production single-family homes. We work with many custom home builders in Westlake, Lake Travis, Tarrytown, and the greater Austin area. Our extensive tile and metal roofing capabilities are on display in Spanish Oaks and Barton Creek.
Our Commercial roofing services focus on lighter commercial projects such as stand-alone office buildings, retail locations, restaurants (Chuy's, Pluckers, Dan's Hamburgers), and strip malls. With our extensive background in commercial roofing, we supply new construction and current commercial building owners with a variety of options at business-friendly prices.
Due to the large quantity of metal flashings, valleys, and chimney caps required on an annual basis for shingle and tile roof repairs and replacements, Wilson Roofing turned a need into an opportunity. In 2014, Wilson Roofing acquired a metal shop company to manufacture its own metal roofing materials.

We discovered during heavy rains a leak from a vent pipe area. I contacted Wilson and within a few days had a response and a time for them to provide an estimate. After climbing on the roof and looking at the area from inside, the tech was upfront about most likely repair needed, as well as high side costs if plywood replacement was required. Later that day I got a formal estimate and easily approved it online (follow directions here. First approval is saying you agree to e-signature, second approval if for the estimate).
Within a few days we had a repair timeframe.
I got a call a few days later

We had a small roof leak on a three-story townhome. Wilson Roofing was recommended by a neighbor so I gave them a call. Provided all the details and was told someone would call me within 2-3 days to schedule. Got a call that same day from Coby at Wilson - he was in the area and asked if he could stop by to take a look - sure! I did not expect that he would be able to access the roof as I usually see lifts used for that purpose in our complex, due to the three-story units. Coby was able to use a very tall ladder to get up on our attached neighbor's roof, then from there he somehow (without

Very disappointed in this company. Rather than being upfront with the work, they keep you in a 4-6 week miscommunication thread. Then when you call them out ... their response is " insurance wasn't going to pay us enough". I learned in this roofing/insurance business that a reputable company will work with your insurance adjuster but greedy roof company won't. My insurance company increased payment based on talking with the company! I'm amazed they were so highly recommended, even my insurance company was shocked by the bid!

I hired Wilson Roofing to install a new roof following a hail storm. They were not the low bid & one reason I chose them was they found damage not included in the insurance adjusters report. They said they would resubmit and could have it added to my claim. This was never done despite all the promises. In fact I Tami fed them about 30- days before the filing deadline. Someone came out & took measurements & they never filed the claim. It was all a lie to get my business. I deeply resent their attitude & would never recommend a firm that works this way...there are too many other good

We have used Wilson Roofing on several different occasions and have always gone beyond the scope. In particular, they had to replace some shingles where a tree overhang had scraped them off, and they trimmed the trees back enough to where that would not be a problem for awhile. They just completed some repairs today, and we actually watched their guy nail in parts of our pergola that had come loose. Definitely not part of the scope, but greatly appreciated! He also looked for a leak that may have been causing water damage over a window, and that was not

Wilson goes above and beyond to get the job done. Prompt responses, professional inspectors, an Austin original! Cody, Mark, James, and Kim are all ready to jump in when I have called in for help. Great workmanship and clean job site. Cody came out and patched the roof before a major rain because they were not able to work at our home before the rain, diverting major leaking that could have occurred without the patch.

I can't review their work but I can certify their workers are rude, disrespectful trespassers. After completing work on my next-door neighbors property, while I was standing in my own yard in clear view working, one of their workers stopped at our driveway entrance, got out and used the construction toilet within my property line. (We're at the tail end of a remodel). I politely approached him and told him this wasn't an open construction site, he wasn't working at our property and that he was trespassing...and if he had simply asked to use it, I would have said yes. He stormed

I contacted them to fix a leak in my metal roof.
They came out, looked things over, said it could be fixed, but that fixing it right would be involved. They talked about how you wouldn't want to just apply lots of caulk, but fix it right. Sounded good to me - I told them I wanted it fixed right. The bid included removing the ridge cap, installing flashing.
After they finished their work, I was a bit perplexed - lots of caulk, I couldn't see any signs that they removed the ridge cap or installed anything - just lots of caulk. The first big rain we get and it still leaked.
