Child's World preschool was founded in 1972 by the University United Methodist Church and has been an integral part of the Irvine community ever since. Services
Our administrative staff combine years of education and experience with a passion to provide the best in Early Childhood practices. Our open door policy creates an easily accessible environment for questions and concerns. Cyndi McCormick's love for education came from her father, who was a high school math teacher and coach.
Our curriculum is centered around the principle that children learn best through active participation within their environment. We believe children are self motivated to learn when presented with an environment rich with possibilities. We believe that children guide their learning from emerging ideas that are tested in the classrooms directed by educated, experienced, creative teachers.
Our outdoor classroom is designed to enhance your child's learning experience by engaging them in the simple yet rich activities that can only be accessed in an outdoor environment. We are intentional in the planning and implementing of curriculum in our outdoor space with an objective to increase a child's love for learning.
Our Parent/Toddler program is designed to provide a warm, stimulating environment for parents or designated caregivers to interact with their child in a preschool environment. Many of our families use this program to acclimate their child to our school to assist their transition into preschool. Programs run in 9 - 10 week session blocks beginning in Fall.
