Did you know that accreditation for animal hospitals is voluntary? Surprising, isn't it? Nearly 60 percent of pet owners believe that their pet's veterinary hospital is accredited when it is not. In actuality, only 12-15% of animal hospitals have gone through the accreditation evaluation process by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA).
Sheri Bailey is our Safety Officer and of course a member of our Safety Committee. Sheri takes pride in training our new hires and interns so they thoroughly understand our safety program. NSVH carries several flea preventatives for both cats and dogs. Some of these flea treatments also protects from Heartworm disease, internal parasites, and ticks. We can recommend a product that is right for your pet based on his/her living environment. Most applications or doses are monthly, however Bravecto is an oral chewable for dogs that lasts up to twelve weeks.
