A gathering place for both locals and travelers alike since the mid 1800's, the Hornet's Nest, an Evansville restaurant and bar experience, still offers exceptional hospitality and so much more.

With an eclectic crowd of regulars, passersby, traveling foodies and families, as well as a booming nightlife, we have something for everyone. The menu ranges from tavern fare to carefully-crafted, chef-inspired specials, but there is nothing regular about an item that leaves their kitchen. Our dedication to provide the total experience is apparent, and the longstanding success of our establishment is proof of that.

One of my favorite places in Evansville. Servers are always polite and prompt, and the food is always excellent. Everything on the menu is good, but my go-to is the Beef Manhattan.

Ordered carryout for my wife and I. Order was ready around the time I was given and order was complete. Also was still at a warm temp. when we opened at home. Will definitely try again.

Normally I don’t give reviews on public platform, but I thought I could be of some service and forewarn others. Just to preface, the service was excellent! I crossed out the server’s name in the attached photo as this review is not based on their behalf.
TLDR
If you want to spend $70 on one meal for a cold, unseasoned 14 oz steak, this is the place to go!
I’d also like to add that this was my first time at the Hornet’s Nest, and will most likely be my last time. My sister and boyfriend tagged along with me as I was in the mood for steak, and when we walked in we were greeted with a sign

A Sunday tradition. The staff is like family. They know us and treat us right. They have since we first started going many years ago. The food is hot. The drinks are cold. My coffee cup is never empty.

A great northside establishment with a wide variety of food, including steaks and weekend brunch. New drive up window makes carryout orders so easy. Recently remodeled with a much bigger bar area. Highly recommend.

It's been 50 years since I'd been here. Family used to visit the Hornets Nest for Sunday dinner. Had the filet and it was one of the best I've had. Even though the place was hopping, service was great. If you are in Evansville, it's a must visit!

First time here from a friend’s recommendation. AMAZING food. We came in for brunch and I had the Nest Benedict, I can’t believe brunch like this is in Evansville. Incredible flavor in every bite, me and my friends were trading bites across the table it was so good. Ed was our server/bartender, you can tell he loves it here. Very attentive. Will absolutely be back and hope for Ed every time!

This was my first time back to the Hornet's Nest since childhood. Probably 35 years. The chicken livers were as good as I remember and the new renovations looked great. Service was friendly and quick. Thanks!

Just a great place to eat. Fun atmosphere if you sit in the bar. GREAT food and plent of beers to choose. Probably my favorite stop in Evansville

It's been rough but I think Hornets Nest is back on top! Had Amazing food and delightful staff. Had some pulled pork fries and a buffalo chicken sandwich. Left so stuff had to unbutton a notch. Absolutely best food I've had in a while!
