In 1942, as part of the emerging "Greatest Generation", Carl Bertsche Sr. completed his engineering degree at the University of Cincinnati and was commissioned as 2nd Lt. in the U. S. Army. Carl faithfully served his country in Europe, and returned home after WW2. He began working for Precision Welder and Flexopress Company in Cincinnati, Ohio and soon became their chief engineer.
The rocker arm type welder is a commonly used stationary spot welder for low production applications. It is actuated by a mechanical foot pedal or by an air cylinder. The lower arm is usually adjustable up and down for set up, but is stationary during the weld. The upper arm is not adjustable, but pivots or "rocks" into the weld position, to form the weld circuit.
Our modular benchtop welder has a robust design for use with automation or as a standalone benchtop welder. The model MH-1501-A Weld Head offers fast, repeatable electrode control for a wide range of resistance welding applications. This benchtop welder has many standard features and options as outlined below.
You will achieve the repeatability and uptime you desire from every durable MIG, TIG, and Plasma welding systems that we produce. Regardless of the welding method required, you will benefit from our 50+ years of welding experience. Our applications engineers will work with you to help determine the optimal welding technology and system required to increase your productivity and add money to your bottom line.
Capacitor Discharge Welding (CD Welding) is an economical alternative to traditional resistance welding processes. Its high production speeds, coupled with very low distortion welds, makes CD Welding the perfect choice for welding high carbon material and dissimilar metals. In addition, the CD Welding process allows you to weld near net shapes with no post-process machining necessary.
