Bar Car was created by Greg Medow, a graduate of the Cornell School of Hotel Administration who has helped launch and support several innovative Bay Area restaurant and bar ventures including Hobson's Choice, Indigo Restaurant and Crimson Lounge, Cyrus, Foreign Cinema, Mission Bowling Club, Pizzeria Delfina (Palo Alto and Burlingame) and Flanahan's.
Named after Airstream models, we have created four Bar Packages for your selection. From "Whirlwind" as a value priced option with focused choices to Ambassador for those who desire a super premium full bar experience. Our goal is to provide you with the best assortment of beverages for your event at a great value.
What size events can you handle? Bar Car can provide a great time for 1 or 250 guests. Our custom Airstream was designed to blend in for intimate gatherings and be able to handle the workload for larger groups. What type of events can you do? Weddings, birthdays, tailgates, corporate, fundraisers, or any event where you may desire a drink, we can help you out.

We were throwing a 50th birthday party and wanted a full service bar service. We originally fell in love with the Airstream setup but decided to go with the vintage portable bar setup in order to keep the whole party in our backyard.
Greg was great to deal with - went back and forth a couple of times with our desired cocktails and beer/wine. He was extremely flexible!
We ended up having Ron as our bartender for the evening who was a super nice guy - the whole party loved him. If you want to add a little class and a lot of fun to your next party definitely go with the guys from Bar Car.

The Bar Car helped to make our spectacular private ranch wedding even more memorable! All of our guests raved about how special/unique it was and loved taking photos next to it. Greg the owner did a fabulous job navigating all of our requests and specifications leading up to the big day. We did two custom bride and groom cocktails, 3 wines and 2 beers. We opted to rent glassware to keep things classy but they do include plasticware. The beers are self serve off of taps from the side of the Bar Car. Quite a novelty that our guests were extremely impressed by! The bartenders did a fantastic job working

We were so incredibly fortunate to come across Greg and The Bar Car!!!! My son recently got married in Palo Alto, planning the Wedding Rehearsal from MA was a bit daunting! Our event was outside so we decided upon a mobile pizza truck. After getting the run around from one company we found Tutte Al Forno, and immediately began working with Cynthia Chabre planning our event. We hired BarCar for a company party at an outdoor venue. Greg was great to work with leading up to the event, responding promptly to any questions and taking care of the insurance forms for the location well in advance.
On the day of the event, he arrived and there were storm clouds (which he had warned me about the week before, and had offered alternate plans to make it work somehow rain or shine). If your question is how cool is the Bar Car, the answer is SO COOL! The idea: a renovated 1965 airstream trailer, converted into a spiffy mobile bar. By far my favorite part of it is the beer -- two taps installed on the outside of the airstream. People, you can just pour your beer straight out from the side of the trailer (into mason jars, no less)! Très fly. They had a complete open bar, as well as two specialty cocktails. I tried the rose cocktail, it was good and they did not skimp on the liquor.

What an awesome addition to any party!! It's cool, the drinks are delicious and the price is right. We had the special margarita that was great! I can't wait to throw a party with the bar car in my driveway--it adds flair and fun to any situation. The owner told us though that the bar car cannot serve drinks from the road so you have to be able to park it on property. Makes sense.
What fun to have this airstream bar serving bourbon drinks at our next BBQ or margaritas at our next mexican fiesta. Long live the bar car!

Bar Car takes the term "open bar" to a whole new level!
I had the pleasure of attending a Bar Car happy hour at the Marin Art & Garden Center yesterday. First of all, the venue was spectacular (I'll be writing a review of them shortly). We were in a lovely garden setting. The weather was still hot at 5pm. Our group of Marin-ites enjoyed tasty cocktails, a medley of gourmet treats, and lawn games (ping pong, bocce, etc.). But at the nucleus of this whole event was Bar Car - a fully renovated 1965 Airstream trailer which has been converted into a fully-loaded mobile bar. Greg
