If you care about someone treating you and your children with care, dignity, and with a sense of their well-being in mind, stay away from this place. There is no other way to describe the owner other than he is a bully and he allows children to be bullied even by other children if the draconian viewpoint of the bully matches his own. He speaks to both parents and children with the same disdain that he would describe as more of a "man of God" and "pillar of the community" tone, never missing a moment to "teach parents how to be better", when really he is passing judgment

My 13YO daughter just started attending and has LOVED her experience. She's really learning self-discipline. I appreciate Master Horne's "unorthodox" methods and feel my kid is in great hands at XS M.A.D.

I am blown away by this place. My 13YO daughter has finally found her "thing" here. We feel so welcomed, and as the senseis say - we have expanded our "tribe" by becoming part of the XS M.A.D family.

My daughter and I attend attended the Mothers & Daughters Personal Safety and Awareness Workshop at the Slidell Dojo! We were given tools to protect ourselves and lessons on being aware of our surroundings! This is valuable for all of us and I am so grateful that my daughter has these tools!!

ZERO stars. RUN! Do not walk AWAY from this place. They try to sell you on their services, but really they are very unprofessional and unorganized. Sensei Horne talks a good game, but let me tell you after over a year and a half with this dojo, I can tell you how disorganized and unprofessional this place is. There have been numerous times where the Sensei's do not communicate with each other concerning what is going on, and then that miscommunication gets passed down to and through your child, like one saying my child didn't need his equipment yet and then my child getting punished for not having

If I could rate zero stars...I WOULD. This place is money hungry & during this pandemic 2020 this company did NOT asked if parents were out of work and unable to afford classes. They are doing virtual classes for 30 minutes but still charging the full amount when classes are normally an hour. They can be very unprofessional and unsympathetic towards the parents.

We are extremely pleased that my 9 year old daughter is learning a new skills that will help her through life in this class. She is enjoying learning something new and different from her normal activities especially during this time of COVID. Everything she needed for the class came quickly so that she was prepared to start. She is learning at her own pace and doesn’t feel pressured or left behind. This class is affordable and worth every dollar. We are so happy to support our black owned businesses! Sensa Horn is very professional and knows his stuff. Thanks!

I will not recommend the company to absolutely no one. Sensi Horne is very rude and unprofessional. He doesn’t teach the kids most of the time like was stated in the beginning that he would. The monthly payments doesn’t help parents pay for anything every and anything your child needs you have to pay, competitions are mandatory but you have to pay, to advance to another belt level you have to pay. This company is all about a dollar, and I so regret I supported this company. His the reason why blacks don’t support black business. I lost my job and wasnt able to continue to sent my child he

I originally enrolled my son. One month later, I became a student. My son and I just recently celebrated one year of training and look forward to our journey to black belt. This is a supportive dojo that is concerned about your mental and physical well-being. There are various options for young children, teens, and adults. Everyone starts from the beginning, no matter their fitness level (prior martial experience is not required) and he/she will go AND grow from there. 🙂

Sensei Horne, his staff and the members of XS Martial Arts Dojo are the best. They received me with honor and respect from the time that I arrived to the time that I left. I highly recommend that everyone visiting the New Orleans area to stop in and see the grand things that Sensei Horne has in the works. Not only does his teaching ability come from the heart, it is also passed down to his instructors, students and staff. I'm looking forward to my next visit in the near future.

Found this place from a friend. Came highly recommended. Today was the first day for my son to begin martial arts & it was excellent. They are very professional & you can tell they love their students. My son loved it so he will now be attending as a full time student. Awesome center for your children. Very impressed thus far!

My 9 year old daughter has been attending XS MAD Dojo for a little over a year now. Since then, her behavior has improved in school along with her respect for others. The more she attends, the more understanding she has of what is expected of her & not allowed. She knows that she has responsibilities & that she will be held accountable for her actions. What I love is her passion for XS MAD & the approval she seeks from her Sensei. She tries very hard not to let him down, nor herself. It's good to know that when I need the assistance of reprimanding her, they are there to get her back on track!
