Dr. Ryan has had the opportunity to be under the mentorship and guidance of Dr. James Ken Humber, Jr. Dr. Humber has practiced in both Cobb and Cherokee Counties over his 36-year career and is proudly recognized as one of the best upper cervical chiropractors in the country. His father, Dr. James Ken Humber, Sr. was also a very well recognized doctor and leader within the profession.
Stephanie grew up in Cherokee County. She completed the Medical Assisting program at Chattahoochee Technical College and went on to become a nationally Certified Medical Assistant. With sixteen years in the medical field, one of her greatest joys is to be a part of putting a patient on the road to wellness.
Dr. Ryan is truly passionate about taking care of his patients. He's constantly working to learn more and polish his skills as a clinician for the sake of helping more patients to a greater degree.
Currently, he is finishing both his Diplomate in the Craniocervical Junction Procedures, a comprehensive 3-year program of the highest form of training and specialization in the Upper Cervical Specialty and his Diplomate for the American Chiropractic Neurology Board.Dr. Ryan is an active instructor for the Chiropractic Orthospinology Society.

At Ball Ground Upper Cervical Chiropractic, we utilize Chiropractic Orthospinology procedures, a research-based technique that analyzes the upper cervical spine and its unique influence over postural responses in other areas of the spine. I have been seeing Dr. Ryan for about 3 months now and I am completely pain free for the first time in several years. The adjustment process was so gentle and easy. I started getting relief within an hour after my first adjustment and within 24 hours I felt like a new person. Before Dr. Ryan I had been receiving manual adjustments for several years a few times a week and only getting a tiny bit of relief that only lasted a few hours. My experience at Dr. Ryan’s office is like nothing I have ever had before. It’s a technique I have never seen in chiropractic. I have been in chiropractic care for 6-7 years. I have been having to go 1-3 times a week for repeated adjustments to try and reduce the pain. When I left Dr. Ryan’s, within 1-2 hours I already felt better. I have been going for about 2 months now. My visits now are 1-2 times per month. I feel better now than I have in years.

I have Dr. Ryan to thank for my being able to enjoy my life. In 2020 I struggled with pain, and at one point was laid up for 6 weeks straight from neck, back, and hip pain. Being in my early 30s I pretty much accepted defeat for being able to enjoy my life. Dr. Ryan came highly recommended, and it's the best money I've ever spent for my physical health. Now I'm able to get up and do light to moderate work on my little farm again. I can pick up my (almost) 3 year old niece, and play with her with very little limitations. Great precise care! Dr Ryan is warm, and caring and skilled at what he does! Friendly staff and I enjoy how easy it is to get to his office in Ballground..and not tons of traffic usually either!
I love the relaxation chairs in back, and the noise cancelling headsets and weighted blanket all after an adjustment..its a real treat!

The environment here is so warm and welcoming! I have been so happy with how patient and kind Stephanie always is either over the phone or in the office. I really appreciate Dr. Ryan being so thorough and informative in his assessment and care plan. I walked into this office unable to stand-up straight and in excruciating pain after a workout the previous evening. They fit me in that day for an initial exam & x-rays and agreed to treat me that day. By the end of the visit I was able to stand up straight, extensive knowledge about my pre-existing conditions and received substantial relief in… my pain immediately following the adjustment. Dr. Ryan is methodical and straight forward about how much care it will take to start seeing results. I appreciate being tested, adjusted and tested again. And, most importantly, given a realistic treatment program that’s actually attainable. As a personal trainer, I love this approach to chiropractic. During each session, I’m walked through every… metric of my spinal health now versus my last treatment. Being able to measure results is everything to me!
