What differentiates a first-degree burglary charge from a second-degree charge is mainly where the police or prosecutor deems the alleged burglary took place. If they believe the burglary took place in a residence - such as a house, apartment, room where someone lives - that would classify the charge as first-degree burglary.

Brian is a top professional. I had been cited for driving at above 100mph, but I didn't think I was going that fast. Unfortunately I didn't have any proof. Nevertheless, he was able to negotiate a lesser infraction. Throughout the process he kept me informed and was always available to answer my questions. I was very worried about this case and am so thankful it's over with the result that it did! Highly recommend.

Mr. Skibby is an honest and very intelligent man in his line of work. He fought for my father (an immigrant that does not know the English language well) like he was his client for decades. This man knows what he is doing and we respect and appreciate him very much. Thank you for your passion that you have in the judicial system Mr. Skibby, and thank you for giving my dad the sense of fairness America has to offer for all its citizens. No attorney can have done a better job and I am very confident of this statement I make.

Wow only 2 Google reviews, I will put a third.. Brian Skibby got me out of a jam I got into earlier in the year and just yesterday he got my case dismissed by the d.a, and I didn't even have to see the judge, he just pulled me right outta there.. I thank God my sister found him for me and told me to give him a call and I'm glad I did.. I was afraid of loosing my job over this but Brian told me exactly what needed to be done and how to handle it. . I am now free to get on with my life thanks to Bryan.. I don't see myself getting into trouble again, but if you are, don't hesitate to call the Law

I have know Brian for almost 20 years. He is an extremely intelligent lawyer, well versed in the law. We both worked in the same firm for a while and he was a resource for me when it came to changes in the law. He works very hard for his clients and gets great results in very difficult cases. I refer Brian cases from time to time when I feel he would be a better fit. A great lawyer and a great person, you can't go wrong.

I had hired Mr. Brian Skibby for a violation probation and was facing some jail time. He was able to knock those charges down to a small $260 fine and zero jail time! He is very responsible, reliable and knowledgeable. Every call and email was answered and answered in detail. I never felt like I was just a number. He made me feel as though I was his only client. I would use Mr. Skibby again and again.

Hello my name is Gwyn I hired Brian Skibby over 6 months ago when I failed to show up to court on my schedule date.I was facing 2 Felonies. One was a second degree burglary charge with a prior conviction. Brian not only cleared my failure to appear he was able to get my Felonies reduced to misdemeanors I was able to avoid any jail time.I strongly recommend Brian Skibby for San Bernardino Superior Court.

Brian did a great job for me. I had two felony convictions I wanted expunged. I talked with several lawyers that said it couldn't be done. I called Brian and he listened to my situation. We went to court twice and he got the both dismissed/ expunged. I could'nt be happier. And he was cheaper than the rest. I would use him again.

Lawyers are sales persons. This year we've had some unfortunate events so we've met with several different lawyers, and that's what I've learned. The first interview all of them put on the best show with the goal to get you hire them. There is nothing wrong with that. But be careful when some over-promise but under-perform. Brian Skibby is the best example. He made it seem like a wonderful world when we interviewed. But he didn't follow thru. Without going into details, he was very weak and didn't do what he's supposed to do, and very likely messed up our case
