I am proud to have served the residents of Genesee County for many years. Having been a part of this community for so long, I realized what a special place it is. I would like to share with you the commitment that I and my staff have made to the many families we have had the opportunity to serve.

The staff of the Swartz Funeral Home is committed to meeting the needs of families who have entrusted their loved ones to us.we will do this with compassion and understanding. We promise to constantly strive for excellence in all areas; in service and facilities. We promise to constantly search for new and better ways to care for our families.
Services
Funerals are never easy but when visiting us, we want you to be as comfortable as possible. Our facility offers a warm, home-like atmosphere and it is barrier free and easily accessible. We have thoughtfully decorated to provide a comfortable setting. Our Chapels can accommodate all gatherings, whether large or small.
Dying is a natural part of life. All living things - plants, animals, even people-are special parts of God's natural world. Nature almost always gives us long, healthy lives. Like all other living things, though, people grow old and reach the end of life. This is called death, or dying. Doctors tell us that death is not usually painful.
At Swartz Funeral Home, we have a strict code of ethics and procedures we adhere to while your loved one is in our care. And, we only use Genesee Cremation Center INC, who we know and trust to uphold these ethical standards. We take the extra steps to ensure that your loved one is well cared for at all times.
After the funeral, there will be a number of things that require attention. Swartz Funeral Home understands the intricacies of bereavement and will provide care for you and your family in your time of mourning. We can provide support through special children's programs and groups, other specialized bereavement groups, grief counselors and through our extensive library of bereavement literature.
If planning your own funeral today seems difficult to think about, imagine how hard it will be for your loved ones to plan for at the time of need. You can save your family from that added burden at a time of great emotional stress by taking the time now to reflect on some very important decisions.

Thank you so much to the staff at Swartz funeral home, I remember when my grandmother passed we held her service here and they really helped my mom out with everything, money was tight and they still made it happen for my grandma to have a beautiful service. But what brings me here to state my opinion is that, my mother just passed unexpectedly so naturally me and my brother came here first and it was absolutely THEE right decision, everything happened so unexpected and we had minimal planning for this, they worked with us to make sure me and my brother could take good care of my mother one last

Took incredibly good care of my family after my father's passing. Their staff came to collect him from hospice at our home and were very professional and caring. Their staff helped us write a lovely obituary for their website, and gave us an opportunity to see Dad again before he was cremated.

Just went to a funeral on January 3rd 2019 ... I have been to many funeral viewings here ... my own family was here ... I didn't notice the attention to detail that was with my family ... The premises were clean ... They need more chair in the family refreshment lounge ... Not everyone could sit to have a bite to eat or drink. .. Just didn't have the same feel ... my last family member was in 2013 and they were ultra good then

From the placement of the flower arrangements prior to the start of the visitation and continuing with the placement of memorial gifts that arrived during the visitation, the room was open to walk through with chairs being placed in a manner that allowed interaction between family and friends. Our family’s privacy was respected by Codie and the staff always, especially during the visitation and if required the visits into the visitation room were quick, focused and direct.
We especially give special thanks to those personal who worked with Susan in preparation

Outstanding service. My Mom passed away at night and was very pleased that the staff at Swartz wanted to come directly to my home to begin making the funeral arrangements. You just do not find a business willing to do that anymore. As we spoke I decided to wait until morning and they said that was ok and set an appointment time. Thank you for all of your kindness and considerations.

Swartz was excellent! We were very satisfied! Steve, one of the directors was so helpful and kind. He explained everything to us so clearly especially since it was such a difficult time losing my father. The day of the service they made sure all of us that arrived were well taken care of. Even small touches like Carol and Steve taking our coats was so helpful. They were professional and compassionate. We were very happy how my father looked. The room was beautiful and stocked with lots of kleenex and chocolates. We just can't say enough about how great the experience was with Swartz. They provide
