My dad passed back in July and Nelson Funeral Home in Owosso did an exceptional job hosting his funeral. My mom and other family members were just in awe as to how well we were taken care of during such a hard time. Thank you so much for a beautiful funeral and the lovely gifts we received in memory of my dad. Highly recommend. Kevin was so wonderful to my mom and the rest of our family.

I am leaving a review eight years after this funeral home provided services, because I don't know if they changed recently, but the reviews here now are not indicative of my families experience. They provided caring and compassionate services above and beyond. There was some drama inside the family and they handled it by being proactive to address issues, which alleviated the issues before they got out of hand in the public ceremony. Cars used were well maintained and the entire place was tidy and professional.

You can tell that the entire staff at Nelson-House Funeral Home is compassionate and truly cares for their customers and families. They are kind, prompt, professional and courteous. They were able to ease the burden and guide my family through the memorial planning process. First class service all the way around.

I would not recommend Nelson. My mom purchased a complete funeral package. At the funeral, the representative from Nelson told us this was not correct. Interesting they told my mom it was complete and told the family different. My mom still does not have the date of death on her head stone. I live out of state and need to take three days off to correct this issue. I would avoid Nelson House at all cost

Really disappointed with the professional service from this funeral home. My mom passed away so my niece (bossy and annoying) went to the funeral home the next morning and arranged the funeral. I called my brother to find out when we were meeting at the funeral home, but was told my niece took it upon herself to arrange the funeral. I had to correct the obit, misspelled names and terrible grammar. Then 10 mins before the funeral my brothers and I were called into the office to sign the life insurance policy. One brother was unavailable so someone just signed his name. Then as everyone was leaving
