Tanner began his insurance career as a Financial Representative Intern for Northwestern Mutual. That is where he discovered his passion for insurance and helping families and business owners. He then moved on and became a Sales Representative for a local State Farm Agent. In 2017, he left State Farm and started Tonka Insurance Agency, Inc. Tanner loves to meet and sit down with families while also forming connections with the local community.
He also enjoys networking and getting to know local business owners. When not working, you can find Tanner traveling, spending time with family and exploring the outdoors. Tanner currently resides in Plymouth with his wife Tiana and their two rescue dogs, Mikko and Minnie. Alexis began her insurance career at Allstate Insurance in 2016 where she found her passion of helping people and assisting clients with their insurance needs.

Boat insurance can be customized to each individual, providing more or less coverage, as needed. We worked with Tanner, the owner of the agency, to rewrite our entire line of insurance. He provided quotes from several top rated companies and spent a considerable amount of time thoroughly answering our numerous questions. Tanner helped us to zero in on the coverages that would be most beneficial to us personally and pointed out new coverages for us to consider. He was very patient and professional throughout the whole process. In the end we ended up with policies that provide better coverages at a lower price--not necessarily the least expensive company but the company that was the best match

Tanner has been fantastic to work with in all aspects of insurance. Not only does he take great care of my policies. But he also takes care of my mother's as well. He is always accommodating, and follows through very quickly. When he has insurance claim issues. I always appreciate the referrals he gives me to help the homeowners in need. Tanner is amazing! He has been our insurance agent for two years now and has gone above and beyond to get us the best quote. We recently moved states in which we had to sell some things and obtain new insurance based upon where we are living and what we need for the time being. Tanner made the whole transition flawless. He even reached out to us to remind us that he will get our policies cancelled immediately upon time of sale so that we are not paying more for nothing!
