Tulare Veterinary Hospital has many years of experience in helping you care for your adult dog. The best way to keep them healthy and assure a longer, healthier life is with annual wellness exams. The annual wellness exam is also the perfect time to discuss your adult dog's health and lifestyle. We encourage you to speak to us about diet, exercise, dental care, mobility issues, or any age-related changes during your dog's next exam.
Welcoming a new puppy into your family is an exciting time, but it can also bring up many questions and concerns - especially for first time dog owners. At Tulare Veterinary Hospital, we are here to provide guidance for you and your new puppy so that he or she can grow up happy and healthy. Puppies are more vulnerable to illness as their immune system is still in development.
At Tulare Veterinary Hospital, we believe that caring for your senior pet requires more than simply treating problems as they arise. By emphasizing your pet's wellness throughout their life with a comprehensive preventative health care plan, we can significantly increase their long term health and comfort.

I took in my dog for the first time for a physical and shot. Right when I get my dog I noticed something is wrong. I get home, he is in pain. Two days later my dog died from trauma because they roughly handled him. He had internal bleeding in his chest. Please please please do not take your pets here! DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!

I took my two dogs in for vaccinations the aide came out to waiting room asked questions then took them back. One of my dogs got pain on her leg that night and was very listless. I was so worried. They said it was routine to give shots on leg. I've always seen it done on back of neck.
Very cruel to dog
No explanation as to what was done behind the back office

My aunts dog was having an emergency and thankfully they were able to see her, because other vets in my area were booked. They seemed to really care for her and gave me all the details and what would need to be done, along with all the costs. She got spayed and had 14 teeth removed the next day. It cost a pretty penny but now Chelsea is like a brand new dog! Very thankful for this place.

They took excellent care of my baby! The Dr explained everything that was happening with her with great attention to what we were feeling. The staff was compassionate and did everything they could to make us feel at ease when we had to leave her there and I have never left her anywhere! The Dr didn't just stick a bandaid on her. He ran the tests needed to get to the root of the problem. He reffered us to the best specialist possible for her. Answered every question we had with honesty and understanding of our financial situation. We love this hospital. Definite 5 stars. They took the time to talk

The first time I was there I was impressed. They were very thorough in the examination and treated my boys with kindness and respect. It’s been tricky since COVID but they come to your car and pick up your pet and bring them back. I recommend Tulare Veterinary Hospital for all your veterinary care. Great staff also 💜

UNPROFESSIONAL . HIDDEN CHARGES . THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOUR PET YOUR JUST ANOTHER NUMBER.
I came in to get my 4 month old puppy dewormed. I called ahead of time and was told the first client visit was 58$ w/t a complimentary dewormer. When I arrived, they did a consultation and took my puppy in the back to be checked on. I wanted to go back with them but it didn't seem they were taking people back there???. Then they asked for a stool sample.
I had to ask all the questions about side affects, how much they gave her, how to prevent this from happening again etc. Im a new dog owner so

DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE. Terrible people. Terrible service. They are money hungry and never put the care of your pet first like it should be. I've had my own terrible experience here when I brought my pup in & ive recently just read another horrible tragic event that occurred because of this place. I also noticed that there are "24 reviews not recommended" at the very bottom of the page and it is all their negative reviews. So the only ones being shown are the good. BE CAREFUL.

Terrible customer service.
Had an appointment set for our dog to get vaccinated and when we showed up for the scheduled appointment the vet hospital was closed and nobody answered the phone.
I tried to schedule an appointment to make sure he got his shots and the receptionist hung up on me before I was able to get anything set up. She seemed to be… in a hurry to get off the phone.
Also, my dog had a procedure done at their hospital and was poorly bandaged. The bandages fell off within hours of being home. We took him back and they charged us to re-bandage him even though they had not done

Came in and asked for a walk in appointment for first vaccinations, they said the charged a 70 dollar fee and would rather I make an appointment for the next day. Appointment was at 3:45 pm, we arrived at 3:10 pm. At 4:20 pm we had still not been called on. A woman arrived and said she had missed her appointment for the the day before and if they could take her today as a walk in, they IMMEDIATELY took her in and did not charge or mention the "$70 dollar walk in fee ". After waiting for 40 minutes I decided to leave.

I had an appointment today for my rabbit since he is sick and has worms. I do not have a special vet who takes rabbits near me so I set up an appointment at this vet hospital 30 min away. I took time off of work, drove 30 min to this place just for them to tell me all appointments are cancelled due to power service. I did not appreciate the no phone call to let us know they cancelled our appointment and did not appreciate the communication the lady had with me as far as asking if I would like to reschedule. What a waste of a drive and time.

We took our elderly cat to this vet office and the vet that saw him was very rough with him. Then told us that we could pay 1,800 dollars for treatment or put him down and also told us that he was so sick that he would probably die even with treatment. We did not choose either option and instead took him to another vet. Today, three years after our terrible experience with this vet, our cat is still alive and well at 18 years old. In addition to the terrible way our pet was handled we are now being fraudulently charged for services that we did not receive. There are several vets that work at this
