Our founder and the inspiration behind our restaurants, Amit Kumar was born in the Northern part of India and gained his love of cooking from his Grandmother, by watching her as she created simple yet complex traditional Indian dishes, using amazing spices and herbs. Eager to learn more, his professional education began at the culinary school of New Delhi and later moving to Goa to understand more about hospitality management.
Goa proved to be an inspiration, as this melting pot of Indian Cuisine was the perfect location to discover and perfect his delicate use of spices and the importance of getting the correct balance by blending and grinding, for both culinary and medicinal benefits.

My wife and I have been here on a number of occasions and we absolutely love it. The food is sensational. I actually find myself craving going back whenever we drive by the area. The spices and tastes are quite different than what a typical American dish is. And I love that. The flavors are fresh and absolutely savory.

It had been a while since I had Indian food and been to this restaurant and decided to stop by and get my curry craving out of the way :)
Went for lunch and the place was busy, that is always a good sign. Got seated right away and the staff was attentive and took care of us from beginning to end.
Ordered the Tikka Masala Chicken Thali and the Hyderabadi Chicken Thali (this one has peanuts, so couldn't try it). Both dishes were plated beautifully and with good portions. Everything was good but the rice did not taste fresh. This is why I did not give it a 5 star rating. Not a show stopper and that

Tamarind is an interesting Dynamic... wonderful food, questionable service. I eat here so much, usually pick up but on occasion order for delivery. I've never eaten in the restaurant. The food is incredible! I know you're thinking two stars is a bit hard when someone leads with, "the food is incredible", but service is so important in my mind. When I get takeout... all I want in my onion chutney. I put it in three separate note sections of my order... yet here I am, my third delivery order in a row, no onion chutney. It's hard to find a consistently good Indian restaurant. You have to make food for those who want to be adventurous and try new cuisine. However, the people who love spices and flavor are expecting a meal that tastes like they are eating an authentic Indian auntie's recipe.

Mixed feelings -- my boyfriend LOVED his dish, I didn't enjoy mine. I ordered the Chicken Biryani (which is my go to Indian cuisine) and it didn't taste like the biryani that I'm used to. The garlic naan didn't taste authentic and tasted like store bought plain naan with parsley on top... not sure if I would try Tamarind again.

Tamarind is without a doubt some of the absolute BEST Indian food in all of Central Florida. I have been over 10 times, and each time seems somehow even better than the last. The lunch special ($10-$13 depending on protein choice) is extremely reasonable and comes with a variety of items, all incredible in flavor. For dinner, I have ordered paneer makhani, shrimp vindaloo, shrimp Tikka Masala, and they have all been OUTSTANDING! The Masala dosai (and I assume all of the other dosai's) are absolutely to die for - not to mention are giant and can easily feed 4-6 for an appetizer!! Go to Tamarind

We love Tamarind! We often order for take out and the serving sizes are so large it lasts for a few years. It's my favorite for a lazy weekend of grazing.
This is my favorite place for paneer in town! We have dined-in several times and have always received great service. The dining room is intimate and cozy.

Do yourself a favor and head on over there. I went to Tamarind last night with a group of friends and had an AMAZING time. I ordered the Hara Masala Ki Kebab (which came with a hefty bowl of rice) and a side of naan bread. There was so much food I couldn't finish it all. Can I just say the FLAVOR, the AMBIANCE, the MUSIC. Outstanding. The food was well and the playlist is now MY playlist (thank you Shazam). As I said, head over there and have a great time :)
Side note: I asked the waiter, and he confirmed that the meat is halal.

Great place to eat if you’re in ORLANDO!
Mamun made our night and was so accommodating💗 . The food was authentic and delicious. The flavors were mouth watering. I’ve tried 10 different Indian style foods while being here in Florida and it was so amazing. This is the best place I’ve been in FLORIDA! 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

Enjoyed both times. Had the same server. Came in around their lunch hours on a Saturday the second time around.
I love that you don't have to request for the "lunch special"-- they automatically give it to you when you order at that time frame.
I couldn't find chicken makhani in the menu, but had no problem ordering it and it. tasted. amazing. They cut the chicken into thin strips which made it easy to eat with a whole bunch of sauce in each bite.
Side note: I wasn't asked regarding my preferred spice level. If that's something that you

Tamarind is authentic Indian cuisine. The quality and fresh meats, spices, flavor and taste of Tamarind's food is some of the best I've had. My server Mamun was most accommodating, concerned with my special allergy and informative on recommending the best dish for me to select. I can't wait to come back and try something else next.

Five stars to this awesome Indian Restaurant. Hand sanitizer is available at the host stand, they sanitize between customers, the whole staff has masks on and require customers to wear them before being seated. They do not wear gloves, check temperatures or enforce social distancing due to the size of the restaurant, so fair warning.

After our visit, we took a look at the reviews and saw that this was a common occurrence. When we walked in, we were not even greeted. The owner just pointed us where to sit, took our order and NEVER talked to us again for the next 45 minutes. He was on beck & call for all the other customers that were in their except for us. Convenient location, nice interior, and great amazing Indian food.
I ordered takeout while shopping in the plaza and took it back to my office to eat. I ordered the lunch special Lamb Thali and the portions were huge! It included a small bit of salad, Lentils, rice, 2 breads, and the meat/veggie mix.
I have to admit I'm not super knowledgeable on Indian food, so when he asked which thali I wanted, I told him whichever was most popular- so I'm not entirely sure what I actually got.l - but it was AMAZING!

YES YES YES!! I was wow'd from the second I stepped into this gem all the way to the end. The smell is AMAZING, the food is AMAZING, and the service? You guessed it, amazing!
We came for dinner and called ahead so there was a table waiting for us when we arrived. They started us off with chips (not sure what the proper name is for what it was exactly) and sauces, all uniquely delicious. We started with the chat and garlic naan as an appetizer - SO GOOD! I ordered the butter chicken which was phenomenal. When in doubt, ORDER THIS!! I love that they ask how spicy we'd like it as well.
