Dr. Bernice L. Elliott graduated from National College of Chiropractic in 1994. She opened her own office, Community Chiropractic Clinic in Oak Creek, Wisconsin and also practiced with Platteville Chiropractic Clinic, until returning closer to home. Dr. Elliott is a native of Greenfield, Wisconsin, is the youngest of a large family and has many ties in Southeastern Wisconsin.

Chiropractic care is based on the diagnosis and manipulation of misalignments of the joints, primarily those found in the spinal column. These misalignments (referred to as subluxations) can cause other issues in the body that may start affecting the nerves, muscles and organs if left untreated.

Chiropractic adjustments realign the spinal column to fix these subluxations and help patients who suffer from many ailments and injuries that cause chronic pain in the back, neck and other areas of the body.Not only can chiropractic adjustments help to align the body but they can help people who suffer from other issues including digestive problems, sleep disorders, headaches and fatigue.

We use highly effective adjusting techniques to help patients improve their spinal biomechanics and reduce nervous system interference. The approaches used are based on clinical judgement and years of experience. This technique is the most widely used in the field of chiropractic. The diversified technique uses a high-velocity, low-amplitude thrust to restore proper movement and alignment of the spine and joint dysfunction.

It is critical that chiropractic care is sought immediately after a car accident; allowing the effects of whiplash to go untreated can induce long-term pain. The severity of the physical effects of a car accident are not always felt immediately. It can take days, weeks or even months for major symptoms to show up, which is why chiropractic care is essential to maintaining the health of a spine that has suffered a trauma.

Activities can exert a tremendous amount of stress on the spinal column and joints. We work with amateur through professional athletes in Walworth and the surrounding areas for optimal health to prevent injury.
