Laura started her career nearly 15 years ago in Vancouver BC Canada, where she graduated top of her class at Marvel College. Devoting the first 6 years of her career to advanced education, through Bumble and Bumble, Toni and Guy, Loreal Professional, and working non stop behind the chair, she quickly grew a loyal following.
All services are starting price points and will be further discussed upon your consultation. All cancellations and rescheduling of appointments require 48-hour notice. Cancellations made less than 48-hours prior the appointment will be charged 50% of the booked service(s). All no-shows will be charged 100% of the booked service(s).
Founded by visionary hair geniuses, Howard McLaren and Garren, R+Co embodies a rebellious and playful spirit - from its packaging, names, functionality and ingenuity. Not to mention, the amazing fragrances! R+Co is unisex and everything in the range is color-safe, heat and UV protective, vegan, cruelty and gluten-free, and without harmful ingredients such as parabens, sulfates, mineral oil and petrolatum.

I was recommended to see Laura when I asked about stylists in the area that do curly hair well. At the urge of the receptionist, due to Laura being booked out well in advance I saw someone else. I specifically asked him if she did curly hair. He said she's great.
My stylist was a gem of a person, she's kind, polite, respectful, and has a great personality. Truly a delight. I loved interacting with her. After getting a recommendation from an employee at Sephora, I made the drive 30 minutes away from my house to go get my haircut. Boy, was that a great idea! To start, the decor and rock 'n' roll characteristics of this place are beyond cool. Lots of vintage and classic rock/punk attributes. You don't see that a lot in hair salons and I love that everything is naturally itself here. Sydney is my new hairdresser and she did an outstanding job. Sydney is super sweet! I went in for a consultation to come up with a game plan to achieve my hair goals for my wedding. She is very realistic and honest. Moved to Phoenix a month ago and was looking for a new salon. I feel lucky to have found this gem of a place. Everyone is so friendly, fun and professional! The salon has an amazing atmosphere and vibe. Kristina did an outstanding job with my hair and has a great personality to go with it. New to Arizona and was looking for a salon. The second I walked into true few I felt comfortable everyone was so nice and professional. My stylist Kristina listened to me and gave me her professional input she is very talented and I’m very pleased with my results. Not only does this place have such cool energy (and I would know, I'm here twice a week...every week), the stylists are amazing, especially Sydney. I see her for my twice weekly blowouts (my hair is tragic without her) and for all my cut / colors needs. Cannot say enough about how happy this place makes me and my hair!

This review is for both Maria at True Few and the salon itself. Maria did my hair for my wedding day and she absolutely freakin nailed it. It wasn't an easy style to begin with but she went above and beyond. It stayed the whole night and was so beautiful! She not only is extremely talented, but the sweetest soul. She's the type of person you want to be best friends with! I would 1000% recommend Maria to do your wedding day hair. I also would recommend her as a hair stylist in general. She makes each person look like a work of art :)

If I could give more than 5 stars to True Few Hair Salon....I would!!! First of all, I love the decor & vibe of the salon. I also highly recommend Maria. She colored my hair PERFECTLY & recommended great solutions for my dry hair. She is very professional, kind, and truly cares about you. To be honest I have not had good luck at any other salon. Had a great first time experience here! After our appointment being canceled without notice at my regular place, I was in desperate need of a trim so I called a few places around Central Phoenix hoping for a same day appointment. The staff at True Few Hair Salon accommodated my friend and I right away! Upon arrival I did notice that nobody was wearing a face mask which surprised me but our stylist noticed we were wearing masks and put hers on right away and throughout the entire service. I was very pleased with my hair cut and service was excellent, I will definitely come back!

I found a great hairstylist in California- but I live in Phoenix. My daughter lives in Santa Barbara and every time I would go to visit I would visit the hairstylist in Santa Barbara. There is no way I can express in words how much I love getting my hair done at Black Sheep Central PHX! I walk in feeling like I've got some long Baja miles on me and walk out feelin' like I can take over the world with just m'new hairdo!! On top of all that, the decor and energy is so chill, you wanna basque in it for awhile. Laura is so amazing and on top of her game! I Scheduled an appointment with Laura to freshen up my hair for fall/winter last week. Laura was awesome, I showed her an inspiration picture and she nailed it! She worked with me to get the exact color, dimension and movement I wanted for my hair. The vibe of the salon was laid back and felt like you were hanging out with friends! The decor was killer, I could spend hours looking at the collage wall! I will definitely be returning!
