My red sweatshirt usually smells like barbeque smoke, remnants of a great meal with my wife and dogs; a happy time that when I smell the familiar smell makes me smile. Lauren and Daniil were married during a lightly misting rain on Shelter Island this past June. The weather did not ruin the fun. The ceremony was on the lawn at the Pridwin Hotel under a beautifully built custom chuppah that Lauren's dad crafted. After a few minutes you completely forgot that it was raining at all, and the show proceeded as scheduled.
Both took time out from serving our country in the Coast Guard to tie the knot. Sarah, having spent all of her summers on Shelter Island, made the easy choice to be married there. Much like myself and my family, her and her family love and help out as much as they can at SylvesterManor. When deciding a location for the wedding, it was an easy choice to hold the celebration there.
Victoria looked absolutely stunning wearing a dress by Enzoani, complimented by classy, elegant hair and makeup by Special Effects Salon of Greenport. Clearly Kevin was looking sharp as well in his black tuxedo, suspenders and bow tie. Watch out Daniel Craig, there could be a new James Bond! Victoria and Kevin were married at Our Lady of the Isle in the historic Heights area of Shelter Island.
