Jane graduated from Hawkeye Community College in 1992, and has been a part of our team since 2008. In addition to being a registered dental hygienist, Jane is also certified in local anesthesia, and is a member of the local chapter of the American Dental Hygienists Association (ADHA). Jane loves working with great coworkers and having the opportunity to further dental knowledge.
Dentists have relied on X-rays for over a century to help plan the course of their patients' treatment. Today, we use digital radiography instead of photography-based imaging, which emits up to 90% less radiation and produces significantly clearer images in nearly an instant. An intraoral camera is a small, digital camera at the end of a small wand.
When your teeth are as healthy as they can be, your dentist will still recommend regular dental exam and cleaning visits at least once every six months. If your teeth aren't in superb health, then your visits may need to occur more often. During each appointment, Dr. Hansen will thoroughly inspect your teeth, gums, bite, and oral tissues to detect any issues that may be present.
Teaching children to care for their teeth properly is one of the most important things we can do for their long-term dental health. It's equally important to help them develop the habit of visiting their dentist on a regular basis. We recommend brining children for their first visit around the age of two, and starting a routine of regular exams and cleanings by the age of three.

Central Park Dentistry has served us well since moving to Charles City. Wendy cleaned my teeth and Dr. Hanson checked everything out today. Both were very kind and thorough. Going to the dentist has not always been a favorite of mine, but these guys make you feel comfortable. I recommend you check them out!

I am one that has always despised going to the dentist, and I am not a young person. I was referred here by a good friend, so I took a chance and made an appointment.
Every employee I have seen in the office is so friendly and always smiling. They acknowledge you even if you are not directly working with them. The Dentists are AMAZING and I no longer get any anxiety about having to see them.
I strongly recommend them if you have children that have a fear of the dentist as well. The truly are the BEST!!

I cannot say enough good things about this office. Every single person there is kind, friendly and caring. Anytime I've had dental work done here, they always make sure I'm comfortable, and take the time to explain every aspect of the treatment. I drive over 30 minutes to go to this office, and it's worth the drive because I always feel like I'm being treated so well. I highly recommend this office.

The staff at Central Park Dentistry are the best! I came in with big dental problems caused by my neglect. I didn't get the negativity and head shaking that I expected. Instead I got kindness and a positive attitude. The technicians are great at explaining what was happening during the procedures. And Dr. Hansen took time to explain everything and calm my fears. The front office staff were all great at scheduling. A great place to go to take care of your teeth. Highly recommend.
