We offer inspection services for buyers, sellers and investors considering the purchase or sale of single family homes, condominiums, multi-unit buildings and commercial properties. When you get a Cornerstone Home Inspection you are hiring a qualified, experienced home inspector who is licensed by the State of Illinois and fully insured.

Critical: Professionalism
The inspector was very good at his job, the owner was extremely unprofessional and rude.I tried to speak to him about an issue we had that I felt was very important and he laughed at it and did not take the issue serious enough for me when I'm spending my money with you and that is unacceptable and very bad business.

We used corner stone for our home inspection. They found no issues in the basement other than one large crack in the foundation. The first storm we had water in the basement. We had 3 waterproofing companies out and all three were shocked that, not only did the inspector not find any signs of water, but also because he missed multiple cracks and holes in the foundation that were visible to the naked eye. All of the companies were able to walk in and within minutes identify multiple cracks and holes, and were just befuddled that an inspector could miss them. One even asked if we had an inspector

Highly recommend!! We are purchasing a 2-unit multi family and had a great experience using cornerstone inspectors! We had Jack as an inspector and he was very professional, kind, and incredibly throughout. We are experienced multi family investors, and Jack used many tools including multi moisture measuring tools thought the process. He was more detailed than any inspector we have ever used before. We are very pleased with our experience and will be using him again!

Steve Dale is Awesome! I reached out to him regarding a buyers home inspection. He replied quickly and scheduled the inspection with ease. He arrived a little earlier than scheduled to set up and prepare. His inspection report was detailed and thorough. He was great with communication, providing updates along the way. He also recommended vendors that could assist with some of the citations on the report. I definitely recommend him for any and all inspection needs!

If you are looking for a professional group of inspectors to do honest work for a very reasonable price, then look no more. This organization is top notch. I had the pleasure of doing business with them at the beginning of February 2019. I was present during my inspection at the home I was purchasing, and there were two gentlemen conducting the home and wood destruction inspection. My husband and I were referred to this company buy our realtor. We had Steve do our home inspection and her was good. He was able to get us in right away he took his time during the home inspection and answered all questions I had. I would give this company a 6 if I could, absolutely worth it. We used Cornerstone for 2 homes we placed offers on, with one being rescinded due to the results of one of the inspections. Both inspections were 3 hours long, extremely thorough, and the inspector walked us through everything he felt was something we should be aware of/address and how to address it. Cornerstone home inspection was amazing! Steve came out and was extremely thorough the whole time. He went up on the roof and into crawl spaces. He explained everything to me and that is just what a future homeowner needs. He answered all of my questions! He even gave me a packet and book I can refer to when I do get a house.
