Martin is originally from England and moved to the Bay Area when he was 15 years old in 1973. He has worked in the Accounting and Finance area since he graduated from San Jose State in 1981. In 1987 martin earned his MBA from Santa Clara University. Martin has worked in several high technology companies as an Accounting Manager prior to running his full time CPA firm.

Emailed Martin to see if he could help us out with tax work and I received very offputting, matter-of-fact, and unhelpful responses saying he is not interested and has too much regular tax work. Ok, yeah I get it, you're busy, no problem, we'll go somewhere else. If you own a business, how you deal with inbound prospects should be something you care about even if you're busy but that doesn't matter.

I've used Martin since 2000 and for a wide range of tax services from personal investments, home ownership, best approaches to salary and bonuses and even when I owned my own business to eventually selling it. In general, taxes and the IRS freak me out but Martin has a calm collective approach, he's highly knowledgeable and explains things to me in a way I can fully understand them. He gives options and suggestions to different approaches. This allows me to take responsibility and feel very confident my returns. I can't recommend him highly enough for your personal or business CPA

Very kind and helpful... I was unhappy with my old tax firm. Last year, I switched to Linda Rost Better Bookkeepers to handle business bookkeeping and she recommended Martin for our tax work. There is excellent coordination between Linda's team and Martin.
Martin helped identify a discrepancy in the 2011 return which resulted in an amended 2011 return netting us around $2,000. This discrepancy was completely missed by the other firm that handled the taxes. Martin takes care of our individual taxes as well as our business. I found Mr Lowe right here on Yelp. I was looking for a CPA to file my late taxes for last year for my business. I did not want to deal with the paperwork especially when I was late filling by 4 months. I called Mr. Lowe to schedule an appointment and saw him a few days later.
