I believe as a therapist I get the opportunity to see you as you truly are- the good, the complicated, the messy, and be able to sit with you in deep empathy and grace because I believe that we are all are imperfect and hotwired to struggle. My hope is you no longer have to struggle alone, for me to hear your story and help shoulder the pain, making the therapeutic process a sacred place where you can be seen, heard, and validated.
I'm a 'straight shooter. I believe that being straight forward with clients about their situation is the most effective approach in helping people. I know that for truth to be healing and transformational it must be tempered with grace and compassion; much in the same way that God approaches each of us.
I have a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from John Brown University. I currently am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a specialization in Gottman Marriage. I've been certified in Gottman Relationship Therapy 1-3 and currently am on the certification track. I work with children from 4 years of age to adolescence and am a member of the Association for Play Therapy.
