We perform all types of auto repair work, whether it's major or minor. We will handle all of your insurance paperwork and will help file claims on extended warranties and insurance. Our staff has more than 250 years of combined experience and features 9 full-time automotive experts. I rarely write reviews, but I was so blown away with the care I received from this business that I had to. After going through many garages in the State College area, Pro-Trans was the most honest and customer oriented service out there. Take your vehicles here if you want top of the line, honest work.

This is the best transmission shop around. The owners are great people, you feel like family when you walk in. My son had his truck there to get a new transmission put in and got in a motorcycle accident and they work with him on making payments till it was payed off. They will definitely get all of my business plus the transmission works perfect no problems.

These mechanics are auto wizards! They have successfully diagnosed and repaired my older vehicle when other shops were stumped. Their experience shows, and I appreciate their honest, experienced, reliable service at the best price. I also like the way the owner always keeps me fully informed of what is happening, even to showing me the underside of my car and explaining what repairs are needed. I trust their judgment and value their reasonable and fair prices. I feel lucky we have Pro-Trans in our area.

My daughter was attending school from out of state. We did not know anyone to assist us with the repairs but we were referred to Pro-Trans. They quickly diagnosed the issue and got the Jeep back on the road. They took the time to phone me and insure everything was explained in detail. Although I was 1500 miles away, I was completely comfortable with the service provided. I only wish they had another shop near me.

These guys are the best. They've worked on both of my cars for years and always get to the bottom of the problem quickly and with as little expense as possible. Several times I've just called to run something by them, and they'll tell me how to fix the issue myself where another shop would have told me to bring the car in so that they could charge me for inspection and repairs. I've had everything from small repairs to transmission replacement done here, and I couldn't recommend them more highly.
