We moved to State College from California where we had had a really wonderful mechanic who was like family, so we were worried about finding a trustworthy mechanic here in SC. After receiving multiple different services from Sharer, we are truly glad to have found an honest, upfront mechanic named Jared who seems truly great. He takes the time to explain the issue and pertinent details, provides choices, informs us when he begins work on the vehicle and he’s been efficient and quick at the job. Once it’s done, he hands the keys over immediately and goes over what was done. I’m never kept

With our son attending the university we needed to have a go to garage while he attends. This garage was recommended to us from a local. Unfortunately we have had to use a few times already. The good news is we are very happy with everything that would be associated with the experience. Our communication is from a long distance but they have done a tremendous job with all our needs in a timely and cost efficient fashion. We are comforted and grateful to have someone we can trust from so far away

Jared and his team at Sharer's are phenomenal. They are honest, helpful, and do good work. I continue to take my cars to them even though they've moved up to Bellefonte based on how I've been treated and the quality of their work. They're busy because they are good, but as long as you can schedule your visit, they're the best!

Sharer’s is an excellent garage to get work done on your vehicle!! I took a chance taking my ‘04 Volkswagen GTI here as it’s hard to find mechanics who are willing and able to do VWs. Nobody referred me to Sharer’s and I was a complete stranger coming in. They treated me like I have been a decade-long customer and I really appreciate the true honesty and care they put into their work. Rebecca at the front desk is wonderful to deal with - the communication was frequent and thourough! And Jared is a talented and well experienced mechanic who actually owns a VW himself. My son attends Penn State in State College, PA and was having a lot of trouble with his older vehicle - a 2007 Nissan Xterra. We live 200 miles away in Rochester, NY so helping him or seeing our hometown garage was very difficult. I got a recommendation from another parent to give Sharers a shot. This was the best decision I made. Jared was so easy to deal with throughout the entire process. My son goes to Penn State and has his truck at school. We live in MD and feel almost helpless when something happens to his truck. Based on Yelp reviews, we have used Sharer's Automotive twice and have had a wonderful experience. The team has quickly and accurately identified the source of the problem the truck was experiencing. Repairs were done the same day and the issues were completely resolved. The price was very reasonable for the work that we had completed. We trust the team at Sharer's and will definitely continue to use them for all of our son's auto repair needs.

These guys are amazing! We had an engine light come on shortly after moving to State College and took our car in to have them check it out! They spent a long time looking and then described their findings thoroughly. They seemed very honest, we felt comfortable with what they said regarding the issue. A few weeks late let we had to get an inspection for our new registration. They were able to squeeze us in right away early in the day to not interfere with our work schedule. The inspection was quick and painless and the price was very competitive with the other local auto shops. We will be back

I've been in State College for about a year now. Whenever I need a tune-up, I go to my guy back home, so I never really had a reason to find an auto shop up in PA. Lo and behold, my AC decides to crap out during this hot, hot summer. A friend suggested a mom and pop shop near campus. After giving them a call, I was informed that they did not work on AC units.
