With the purchase of the Rose Funeral Home and the incorporation of Rose & Quesenberry Funeral Homes, we have a combined service of over 100 years to Raleigh County and the surrounding areas. Founded by the late Amos and Frances Quesenberry, Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Homes are, today, actively directed and managed by their two sons, David and Michael.
During the last decade, we have expanded our locations to include a state-of-the-art facility to better serve the families of Shady Spring, Flat Top, Ghent, Glade Springs, White Oak and surrounding areas.

In August of 2012, Hospice of Southern WV dedicated the "Reflections of Life" Garden with a private gathering of invited guests. The "Reflection of Life" Garden is dedicated to the memory of Frances V. Quesenberry, co-founder of Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Homes and Larry Lynn Williams, one of its most devoted employees.
With the incorporation of Rose Funeral Home, Amos and Frances Quesenberry established this location as Rose and Quesenberry and has continued to be the largest family owned funeral home in Southern West Virginia. The torch has been passed to their children, Michael and David Quesenberry, who now actively operate the business.
Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one have made the choice to pre-plan their own funeral. Doing so lifts the burden from their loved ones by relieving decision-making pressure at a time of grief and emotional stress. Funeral arrangements are a deeply personal choice.
