Life is full of opportunities to show someone we love them. One such opportunity is the funeral or memorial service. Such a loving event celebrates the choices they made, the relationship you shared, and honors the memory of your loved one. It's important to take the time to acknowledge the uniqueness of the deceased: the individuality of their personality, and the uniqueness of their life's path.
Not just for them, but for you; it affirms the relationship, and leads to healing after loss. Honoring their life is truly an act of love - for the both of you. Taking the time to design your service is a loving act, and not a difficult one. We invite you to explore the seemingly infinite number of ways to celebrate and honor a life.

My uncle’s funeral is tomorrow. He had a pre-paid burial plan in place for years, but the owner tried to shake down the family for more money to cover the difference between what my uncle paid and today’s price. That’s dishonest and unethical.
Tonight, AT THE VISITATION, the owner handed a family member a document with another attempt at a shakedown. My father is beside himself, and, of course, will not have it.
Ourfamily has used Tyree Funeral Home for decades and had a good relationship with Mr. Tyree. Unfortunately, he is gone, and there is no excuse for the way the new owner has behaved

I just had to bury my precious father yesterday. These people went above and beyond. They were nothing but kind, compassionate, thoughtful, gentle, and above all they showed my Daddy the utmost respect and honored his and my wishes to a tee. I would recommend them to anyone, and when I'm strong enough, I will be making my own arrangements with them. Jonathan did any and everything he could to comfort and console me and they accepted every manic phone call with nothing but patience and compassion. They were just the best.
