AcQua Restaurant

Came here a few times. My wife also had her bridal party upstairs. The fried calamari is amazing and so is the lobster ravioli.

The restaurant is quaint and adequately staffed with friendly and helpful waitstaff. The portions of a nice size and delicious.

The food is delicious and rich here. We always get the lobster ravioli and a fish dish like the salmon or sole. The portions are generous and the food is so good you will want to eat it all! The Napoleon was amazing! The view is nice in the spring and summer. Highly recommend!!!

The food and the scenery at AcQua is spectacular. The service and the delivery of food was extremely slow. I forgave AcQua since there's a shortage of wait ataff in the industry. I highly recommend AcQua.

This place is awesome for outdoor seating and views of water. Our waitress recommended the blueberry mojito and it was so refreshing and delicious! She also informed us that the menu is family style so it's good for larger groups. We did a half order of fried calamari and a full order of shrimp francese and both we're so good. I definitely recommend coming here especially if you are with a group of people.

AcQua is one of my favorite restaurants in Merrick which has friendly staff and good food. This time we went for our anniversary and enjoyed a good food, drink and view. They accommodated my request for having the veal parmigiana sauce on the side which I appreciated, the only complaint is that the veal parmigiana was a little dry on the edges. Our waitress was super nice and caring. And I would return back as always.

For what it is, good family style Italian experience. Not fine dining, but good service and plentiful portions. Nice drinks, reasonable but limited wine list. Antipasto was good, broccoli and oil over pasta was just OK. Veal Marsala full order had 3 large veal cutlets and a tasty sauce with plenty of mushrooms. Scampi did not meet my expectations but certainly has lots of shrimp (10) and spinach. Reasonable prices. A bit warm under the tent.

Great Italian and Seafood restaurant!! Everything was delicious. I got the seafood pasta with red sauce and it was the bomb!!! The view was amazing as well!

We went to celebrate a birthday and enjoyed our view, the ambiance, and family style meals. We ordered: baked clams (the oreganata sauce was so good), calamari, frutti di mare, veal parm, and a pasta special with broccoli rabe and sausage. They did a wonderful job of checking in and making our birthday girls feel special. My only feedback would be portion estimation as we had so much leftover with multiple servings.

Great little hybrid place (waterfront dining AND Italian cuisine). Staff is incredibly friendly and attentive and the food is delicious. Try the veal acqua, you will not be disappointed!

First time here and will be back. Our server, Sebastian was so friendly, professional and helpful. He made the meal that much better.
Food was delicious and very large portions even for a "family style" restaurant. The best fried calamari I've had. Would highly recommend.

I went with a group of 8 people, driving out from Brooklyn and Queens, to this restaurant and every one said they would definitely return! The food was delicious! Portion sizes were exactly what you'd expect of a family style Italian restaurant. A "full portion" of calamari was able to be shared between four people, and we still weren't able to finish every piece.
A "Full size" portion of pasta was an enormous bowl that was easily split between two people, with more than enough

We just had a wonderful dinner. Great food and service. I will be going again. We had eight people and everyone loved their meal. The Napoleon dessert is an entire cake. It is a little noisy if the outside isn't open. They could use some sound absorbing panels inside.

Our first visit to Aqua and we enjoyed our selection from beginning to end. We started with the Baked clams and the Zuppa Di Clams for our appetizers. Both were very tasteful and plentiful. We chose Sole Oreganta and the Tilapia Marechiara for our entrees. Can not go wrong with either one. Made perfectly well and portions were generous. I must add that the servers were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. We were so happy with our dining experience at AcQua and look forward to returning with our friends and family very soon.

Darryl the bartender is top notch. We had a great time hanging at the bar with him and we will define back because he was so fun. The food and whole night was awesome. Highly recommend

This place was simply awesome.
The ambience, the view, the food and the service were impeccable. Fried zucchini as an appetizer melts in your mouth. I had the chicken marsala, which was delicious. My cocktail of choice was the Upside Down Pineapple martini - sooo good! 🍍🍒🍸
Cannoli for dessert was so fresh and yummy!
Our server, Sara, was just super sweet and fabulous. The hostess - really everyone there, went above and beyond. I will be coming back for sure - as well as recommending to everyone I know. Please continue to support local businesses!!!

Great place to go for a birthday. I took my friend there for her birthday and wouldn't you know, at least 5 other people were celebrating their birthdays there since we heard the "Happy Birthday" song nonstop. Food was great, however the server could have been more attentive and maybe could use his ears more to listen. We asked for utensils and it took a while to get it. The food arrived and we sat there with no utensils. Ordered dessert, brought out the wrong one. I will go back but hopefully the server will be different.

Staff was very accommodating for us with two little babies in strollers. It was pleasant to sit outside on the water. They had portable heaters to keep us a little warmer. They brought the food out and was hot. Everything tasted like fresh seafood! And I recommend their penne a la vodka the portion is huge and the sauce beats many Italian restaurants.

I've been here with my family quite a few times during the pandemic alone and everyone has gone above and beyond each time to make sure that we have a positive dining experience. Our waiter, John, and the manager,Fabio,always greet us with open arms and make us feel like family!!I can genuinely say that there is nothing on the menu that I have tried thus far that I would not recommend.. in a county where there are multiple Italian restaurants to choose from, this one is a cut above the rest!!

Came here for dinner and this place was very good. The food was very good, the staff was very nice, courteous and professional. We got served in a normal time. The place itself was very nice and clean. Tiramisu was very good.You get a nice view on the water but being that it was winter we were in huge "tent". At first I thought it would be cold but the heat was perfect. I am sure this place would be better in the summer. I am sure I will eat here again and if I do I will go in the summer. COVID rules are in effect. Must wear a mask and all the tables are spread out.

Always a delicious meal at AcQua! I am never disappointed in their service, quality or quantity of food. Even in tough times of Covid, they honored my free birthday entree. I love their pasta Siciliana-- The fresh chunks of tomatos and roasted eggplant are just delicious when they're snug in the pasta with fresh mozzarella. We've tried so many of their chicken dishes but the chicken Marsala is one of our faves. You just cant go wrong with the plentiful slices of mushrooms and the out of this world sauce. Desperately needed to get out. Thankfully their outdoor dining finally opened up. Been Dying to try this place since it's on the water. Very nice music and very attentive service. Havi had a cheeseburger and I ordered the chicken Sorrentino. Definitely will come back

Always a great meal at Acqua, and today's lunch for two was no different.
The Seafood Lucciano over linguini is easily one of the best linguini/seafood combos anywhere.
All fresh seafood and a delicious red sauce.
The sole oreganato was also a delicious choice breaded and seasoned perfectly.
And still the best outdoor waterfront seating in Nassau, and the perfect place to have dinner and enjoy a beautiful sunset over Merrick Bay.
Also, Acqua adheres strictly to all Covid protocols, with hand sanitizer readily available when you walk in and throughout.

Absolutely amazing. Wife and I went here for our weekly Friday night dinner out. We went late, 9ish.
Our server Chris was such a nice guy. Made the experience that much more enjoyable. We shared the antipasto for appetizer. Phenomenal.
I had one of the chicken specials. I don't remember what it's called but it was one of the best chicken dishes I have ever had. See pics.
My wife had stuffed salmon, she loved it. We shared the rainbow cookie cake for dessert. This will be a ringing endorsement from me. Must go for those of you that haven't.

Update: so I'm so glad acqua opened during this crisis. We've been waiting so long. We ordered the 39.00 special, plus a dessert. We started out with the house salad. The lettuce was so crisp and fresh. It had chopped tomatoes and red onions, along with green and black olives, shredded carrots and sliced cucumbers. So fresh, crisp and good. Exactly what you expect of a salad.

We ordered fettuccine Bolognese. The fettuccine was cooked perfectly and the bolognese was absolutely delicious. Chunks of meat in a hearty sauce. Yum. So good.

Been wanting to come here for months!! Was finally able to make it last night (Sunday). It was really a 3.5 star experience...I can't round up to 4. So 3 stars it is.

To start, my friend and I were given bread and butter. The bread was nothing fancy and the butter was frozen. I honestly expected something slightly better.

To drink I ordered a pistachio martini and my friend got a margarita. Both were delicious!

For an appetizer my friend and I shared baked clams. A half order is 6 clams, so we had three each. My first two were good, but the last one tasted like the ocean. Very salty
