Poor customer service, doctors can take 3 weeks to follow up with you and often they do not, your voice mails and e-mails are missed and this has gotten worse with Covid.
Trying to get monthly meds is a nightmare and consists of making at least three calls a month to the pharmacy and the Refill line and often times your meds fall off the list magically and you have to beg and plead to get them back. incompetent and unresponsive, one of the worse Healthcare systems I have dealt with. Are people really donating money to this place? Why?

With the notable exception of Optometry and my pcp, the most incompetent, unresponsive, hostile, and corrupt behavioral health, psychiatric, medical records, and administrative medical center on the planet.
Try using the portal to communicate after failing to do so by phone, and it automatically shuts down after 2 or so minutes. Start over again, and the same thing happens. Can't try again, because you're now locked out. Try "tech assistance" there for help, and no one ever answers. You're directed by an outgoing recoded message to use the portal!!

SO many people recommended me this place, but honestly... I'm disappointed. my doctor said I would get testosterone in a month and I've been waiting almost FIVE months and I haven't even gotten my first prescription yet. I've also called multiple times to say I haven't gotten my t and they said they would "fix it right away" and weeks later... still nothing. It's partially my pharmacy's fault too... because they can't give out 60 packs of testosterone because it's "above the legal limit". Doctor is extremely unprofessional. doesn't get back to me about anything, and told me parental guardianship

I have been a patient at Fenway for more than two years. They are clearly stretched for resources which brings their standard of care way down. Refill requests take WEEKS even though their automated system assures they will be handled with a few days. If you want therapy, you're looking at at least a year and a half wait.
I have a thyroid disease and they were absolutely terrible about it - they kept raising my dose until I was having heart palpitations and could barely function (I was on 150 mcg daily as a 140 lb human which is insane). Took multiple requests to get a referral to an endocrinologist

I really would like to like Fenway, but they are so disorganized all the the time. I waited months for an optometry appointment with someone who specializes in my condition and who could follow up after my eye surgery, and Fenway waited until just days before my appointment to tell me they don’t accept Cigna. (Which…who doesn’t accept Cigna??) Now I have to wait for months again somewhere else with a super outdated prescription. I gave my insurance information when I made the appointment, so it’s just so frustrating to not have anyone mention they don’t take it.

Fenway Health has amazing doctors and health care workers but their website is not user friendly and they are horribly understaffed at the moment. Nonetheless, as a new LGBTQ+ person to the greater Boston area I struggled finding proper care (believe it or not) until I was referred to Fenway Health. I've been able to receive proper medical treatment, until the pandemic of course but, I still recommend over all others to fellow LGBTQ+ members despite the lack of resources and the issues with their overall prescription management system. Definitely a safe and inclusive space however, new or potential

So far, my doctor and his staff have been incredible. Fenway loses stars for the awful, awful call center system. It’s infuriating. I’ve needed to get ahold of my team twice now for time sensitive questions and the first time I had to bully my way through the poor call center reps objections just to speak to a nurse. The second time I was unable to get through and I’m now waiting on a “call back” that will hopefully arrive in time to let me know whether I need to start my 1.5 hour drive to Boston or not 🙄 whatever you’re saving by structuring things this way is not worth the stress

Today I was scheduled for an eye exam in the optometry department. I paid a $50 co payment as my insurance requires. I was expecting a full eye exam just to make sure everything was going good. I decided to bring up an issue about my eyes being sensitive to light, and perhaps have them sign a document for me. I was given no more then three test and was told I would need to seek out a specialist because they didn’t have the proper “equipment” to test my sensitivity. So I was still expecting my full eye exam but was told my appointment was booked as a eye concern (The light sensitivity) rather

My pcp was at Fenway health. You know the doc you have to have on file if you have an HMO. Someone go go to if you're sick & need script or a referral or a yearly exam if that's your routine. The idea behind the HMO is that there's is one primary doctor coordinating & staying on top of your health! I had a mini stroke & hospital doctors performed a few procedure and put me on blood thinners which I stopped taking in favor of aspirin AND no one followed up. All records were sent to pcp. Why would I stay on meds when no one is staying on top of if they're necessary

Would not recommend this place. My encounters with much of the staff in person and on the phone were full of microaggressions. Someone had also after 20+ minutes of call forwarding hung up on me within a minute just for asking them at which location I was making an appointment. I had to do this three times before I finally got an appointment. The closest in-person appointment with any provider was about a month later, and telehealth was not too much sooner. I didn't feel very safe or comfortable here, so I didn't make a follow-up. My provider themself though wasn't bad for the 20 minutes that I

Fenway Health has some great services for the community it serves and the providers, the majority of the time, have been outstanding. There was only one provider that I had a terrible experience with.
Why I rate this place 3 stars is because it is nearly impossible to get a hold of a provider, nursing staff, or even the secretary's desk for something as simple as paperwork. A patient has to go through the call center and then wait for a call back from someone in the provider's office. You could literally spend all day waiting for this call back and if you miss the call there is no way to directly

I absolutely love Fenway Health. I’ve been a patient of Fenway Health for over 10 years. I’ve been to both the South End and Fenway location numerous times. They are always doing everything possible to keep their properties clean, safe, welcoming and updated. Even on days where they don’t have any appointments available, they’ve gone to great lengths to service me as a patient and ensure I do get seen by someone, even if it has to be virtually. My PCP at Fenway is Dr. Jennifer Reske-Nelson and I’ve never had a doctor prior to her that has cared so deeply for my personal mental, emotional

I decided to transfer my care to Fenway after having a bad experience with another practice in Boston, and I'm so glad I did! I had my first check-up appointment with Dr. Williams this week, and everyone I interacted with during my visit was kind and capable and made me feel at ease. Dr. Williams is extremely knowledgeable and also took the time to really listen to my concerns and explain what they observed and why they would recommend certain tests or medications. I felt like I had the ability to make informed decisions, rather than just being rushed through and given a prescription or a lab order

Big shoutout to Amika who went above and beyond to assist me an hour before closing for a holiday weekend! I had an urgent situation and I thought I'd never be able to get the answers I needed, but Amika was incredible and absolutely saved me!! From the front desk to the doctor's visits, I've never had anything but an amazing experience at Fenway Health. They are so welcoming and inclusive. I always feel that I am in good hands. Thanks, Fenway Health!

Polite staff, but something always seems to go wrong at Fenway. I only signed up with them a bit more than a month ago but have already had a year's worth of nonsense connected with them. As an example, I went in for an appointment only to find out they had made an appointment for me with the wrong person. I could give other examples but I don't know what purpose that would serve.

This review is for scheduling a dentist appointment. I made an appointment for April and it got canceled and moved to June due to the pandemic. Then June came around and days before my appointment, it got moved to October. I understood and was flexible. However, now in October, just days before my appointment, they called to cancel again and move my appointment to April. I understand that scheduling is difficult during this time but it's frustrating the this keeps happening just days before my appointment. If they called a few weeks out, I would have just gone somewhere else. Overall, from

This is specifically about the Borum.
I am livid at this point with the lack of empathy, communication, and care that the office has shown me. I actually sat down in tears of a half hour today because i'm so frustrated dealing with this facility and i really don't think they give a damn about their patients.
Let me preface this with: a good amount of our communication is through voice messages back and forth because i work all day.
also, it's my fault that i didn't realize one of my scripts had no refills and that i needed to be seen for an exam, as it has been 6 months

This review regards the HIPAA department of Fenway. Before I go further, the quality of care is good, and it's generally easy to schedule appointments. That said, if you want to use email with your medical providers, forget about it.
I've made reasonable requests repeatedly to have my medical providers communicate with me via email, and the HIPAA department has been continuously claiming that my requests are unreasonable, which is the ONLY way that they are legally allowed to refuse them. If you want to use alternate communication with this provider, you should probably go somewhere

So - First the good. My Doctor Liz Cass is awesome. Knowledgeable, friendly, patient, thorough. I can't say enough good about her. I highly recommend Fenway Health and their staff. The folks in the pharmacy could not be nicer.
Now the bad - The phone operation there is HORRIFIC. You can get stuck listening to elevator music until you want to pluck your eyes out. Every time I call it's an adventure...and not a good one. They have got to do something about that. Its bad, bad, bad and it has been bad for years.
