We are biblical counselors who begin with the question, "What does God's Word say?" as we seek to address the needs in people's lives. We are not Christian psychologists or psychiatrists. In biblical counseling the heart is the target. The simplest, most biblical answer to the question "Why do people do the things they do?" can be found by asking this question, "What is controlling the heart?"

Our goal is heart change. Any help that fails to reach the heart is no help at all. A therapeutic culture may offer insights into the shadows, but it cannot dispel them. Only the gospel can do that. As biblical counselors we believe that the Bible is sufficient and necessary in addressing the root issues in the lives of people of all ages.
Services
At the Biblical Counseling Ministry individuals, couples, or families may schedule 60-90 minute appointments on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. An appointment may be scheduled by calling the counseling office at 419-537-8001, you may email us at pawalberg@gmail.com, or you may complete a Personal Data Inventory and return it to us either by email or regular mail.
The Biblical Counseling Ministry offers seminars designed to give training and resources to help Christians minister more biblically and effectively to people who struggle in particular ways. These are for parents, pastors, Christian workers, youth workers, elders, small group leaders, students, and anyone who desires to be better equipped to minister biblically to people in their circle of influence.
In the nearly 40 years since I took my first biblical counseling training the number of resources available for counseling people biblically has grown tremendously, to say the very least. This is something for which we are very grateful! Articles, blogs, booklets, books, audio and video messages, organizations, websites, and conferences are now available to provide relevant and timely resources to minister to people biblically.
As a Christian not-for-profit ministry we ask our counselees to make a donation toward the cost of their counseling. Your gifts help us help others, regardless of their ability to pay. Your financial support is having a key role in saving marriages, restoring peace to families, and helping many people with difficult problems.
