Just like our abuela used to do it. Our family hails from the historical region of Jalisco in Mexico and we grew up eating dishes native to the area. From our famous Birria, a meat stew made with roasted chili peppers and spices. To Tortas Ahogadas, a pork sandwich on French rolls covered in a tomato and chili pepper sauce.
Come dine with us and enjoy the smells and taste of Jalisco for yourself. Each ingredient we use is specially selected and paired together to create the most authentic experience. We use top cuts of meat, offer an outstanding fish selection, fresh vegetables straight to your table and in our deliciously prepared salsas.

First time to Chápalas. Here is my quick, yet honest review of the establishment;
PROS:
+ friendly service
+ ample seating
+ food served moderately to fast
+ variety of meals
CONS: (some might be out of their control, yet indirectly effects the experience enjoying Chapala)
- 1/2 the parking is extremely small for a moderate car to fit properly
- 1/2 of the restaurant is set up like a sports bar so you're not a sports person or get easily annoyed with men screaming at a tv? Not your place.
- the walls are barren making it cold and uninviting. The selection of furniture and colors give

Walked in while waiting for new tires from Sonora Tires. The carne asada burrito i ordered with easy rice and beans added cabbage. So much good meat in this and love both the red and green salsa they give you. Tasty. The burrito is good size. Perfect for the price. The chips and salsa are really good also. Friendly and clean. I will be back. Soooooo good. Thank you.

I have been here more than a few
times and love their food - mainly because it tastes like home. The service is great! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because you can only have cash to tip the servers. They are on it. They are not allowed to add extra to the total bill to take money out for their tip no can you try to send them a Venmo because "they aren't allowed"
This is the only reason stopping me from going. Not everyone carries cash because frankly a lot places are going cashless...and it's difficult to make the extra trip to the bank - on that case I&apos

I came here on Saturday. To start there was no A/C so it was very hot inside the restaurant, the staff was very friendly and nice. The thing I didn't like was that I ordered 2 burritos just
rice and the meat no cilantro or onion. It took about maybe 20-25 minutes. When we got the food they still put the cilantro & onion in it after I told them not to because of my kids. THERE WAS HAIR IN THE CARNE ASADA BURRITO!!!! NEVER AGAIN

NOT AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD...NO SORRY.. NOT SORRY..the wait was 30min plus for something that should not have taken 30min (everyone else had their food already) even if it was made fresh.. the salsas taste like store bought salsa mixed in/watered down with herbs/spices veggies not spicy at all the rice was mediocre but i honestly ate most of it bc I had been waiting for 30min (not exaggerating) the meat was fried and not cooked which honestly made the meat hard I honestly only tried this place bc of @mexi_papi_adventures on IG smh had to unfollow that fool with his deceiving food reviews this is

Very tasty! Went on Yelp to find a local spot for breakfast and this place came up. I got the chilaquiles with chili verde & eggs, husband got scrambled eggs with chile verde. Both served with breakfast potatoes and refried beans. Very, VERY tasty. Served with fresh chips & salsa; also very delicious. Would recommend and will definitely be back. 10/10.

My friend and I tried this spot for brunch and their food was DELICIOUS! The menu is expensive, it has lots of option for Mexican breakfast. We tried the huevos divorciados and chilaquiles and both were the best I've tried in the Inland Empire. In addition we got the carne asada street taco and that's a new favorite too! Highly recommend, definitely will be back.
Covid-wise, as of mid-May they are back to indoor seating, staff members are still wearing masks, most patrons leave masks off once seated.

Customer service was okay my waitress was Elena. M I came on a Monday at 4pm she was really sweet she just doesn't really pay attention to the customer as much she only came to my table twice as a waitress you need to double check your customers multiple times it wasn't busy at all their was only 4 tables that were full and their was two waitresses so customer service should of been excellent other than that the restaurant was really clean and followed all Covid-19 expectations. I ordered 4 tacos de birria and my kids said they were very delicious my other daughter ordered a cocktail

If I could give zero stars I would. As I am Mexican and have lived in Mexico myself, I know what good Mexican food tastes like. I can honestly say that this place does not meet even the lowest standards of what Mexican Food is supposed to taste like. I can get better tacos from street taco vendors at a fraction of the price. Do not even waste your time here they put some nasty sauce on their tacos gobernador and on their fish tacos they put 2 pieces of unseasoned fish. My sister in law got the cóctel de camarón and she basically had to season it all her self and even had to ask for extra tomato
