About us Ontar Thai Restaurant is a family-run restaurant. Founded in 2013, this small restaurant in Ontario city. Has a laid-back atmosphere, perfect for lunch and dinner. We are located in the Airport Gateway Plaza, cross the 10 freeway, pass the traffic light intersection, turn right into Plaza. The shop is on the left-hand side next to One Main Financial. If you've never eaten Thai food before, we want you to be sure that not every dish is as spicy as you think. Everything, seasoned as desired with Spice Scale from 0 - 5.

We love curry.. the yellow curry from this restaurant is Amazing!
Very flavorful with the right amount of throat punch.
The noodles were also made to perfection.
Some places have their noodles kind of dry and, sure some people like that, but I'm not those peoples. These noodles are deliciously Non-dry very tasty. Best noodles for sure.
I usually write a whole novel but that's all I got.
Just go in and eat... you're welcome.

100% Authentic! This is a humble legit Thai restaurant. It's not hip, over estimated or fancy; they just serve good Thai food. More importantly, their dishes stay consistent in quality and flavor. So far, we have tried their pad see ewe, pad kee mao, and shrimp fried rice. We always order these initially before going for other dishes. So far, we've been here 3x and it's been delicious and consistent. I'm so glad we tried this local place. The Thai restaurant we've been going to, for the past 20 years, have become too hip, westernized and expensive.

I came in to eat here after class with my friend. The place was small and if you're going here for the first time it may be confusing. For dine in I guess you just take your own seat and they will give you a menu and take your order. We didn't know that so we stood in line just to be told to seat ourselves. The service was really fast, from our order getting taken and our order coming out! I even ordered something to go for my boyfriend and they got it out super fast. I'd come here again after school!

My usual Thai restaurant is closed between 3:00-4:30 P.M. so I found this place to fill my Thai cravings during that period. Tried it twice and the food was alright that I came back a third time. The lady was SOOO RUDE! Just down right disrespectful! She had got my order wrong and I called to let her know nicely. I ALWAYS order the same thing from Thai restaurants. Yellow curry mild with SOFT tofu. She gave me Fried. She proceeded to deny she made a mistake and argue and scream at me, saying I made the mistake and most people order FRIED! I do not care for Fried tofu at all and would NEVER order

Came here yesterday with my wife and we tried the Pad See Ewe, fried tofu, and yellow curry.
I'm generally not a fan of noodle dishes but after seeing a pic of it on here I decided to give it a try, and am glad I did. The sauce isn't overpowering and really worked well with the chicken and brocolli (of which I wish there had been a little bit more). The portion was good and affordable.
The tofu was kind of expensive ($8.95 I think?) but there was plenty to share and the lady serving us was kind enough to give us more of the sweet sauce when we ran out.

Wow, Ontar came through for the family! Yelp hours say they close at 9, so it's 8:01 as we give them a call to place our order! Welp, guess what they are closed. They close at 8 however the hours aren't updated on Yelp! So she asked how close was I and thankful I'm less than 10 min away so she allowed me to place my order! I felt bad but I was hungry and had nothing thawed out for my kids! I placed my order and was there in a matter of minutes!!! Lol they had locked up, had there jackets on and was ready to go! Fantastic! Friendly and quick service.
Ordered to go. Pad Thai and beef panang. Upon entering the shop to pickup my order I was greeted by a friendly attendant and cook both wearing masks. Nice. It's the kind of service you expect from a mom and pop kind of place.
The order was ready when I got to the store and as promised within 10 minutes noted on the phone. The panang was definitely the highlight. Creamy, flavorful with a hint of spice. The pad thai was also solid! Every place makes it a put different and I definitely enjoyed this place.

This is still my go to Thai restaurant.
It is so convenient with lovely people.
The Pad Thai doesn't have peanuts to ruin the velvety texture of the noodles. I also like that I'm able to add extra vegetables to make myself feel less guilty for eating it all in one sitting.
I'm so thankful they are still open during these challenging times, and I plan to support them again soon in hopes that this family owned restaurant will remain open for many years to come.
